Collaboration is so much more than just working together to achieve a common design goal: it requires re-al-time communication and sharing capabilities and a solid user hierar-chy that enables effective access to and use of resources.

Assign global user roles according to your SOMO User License package and ensure secure access to resourc-es through SOMO’s strict permission and role-based access control.

The new SOMO Global Roles scheme has two types of SOMO users: Users and Light Users. Whereas Users are responsible for creating workspaces and can actively take part in day-to-day workspace activities, Light Users can basically only browse workspaces and workspace resources.

Simplify user management and keep workspace users organized and structured by pooling a collection of users into groups and give every team, project or department its own space with its own permissions.

Get up-to-the-minute email reports every time the status of a DOE, Optimization and Single Run session changes and extend notifications to other team members involved in the design process. The emails contain an overview of session details as well as direct links to the session report page and to the source project page.

COLLABORATION

A fully searchable and traceable project history enables teams to capture, learn from and retain col-lective knowledge of the project as it advances. SOMO does it all for you by keeping track so that nothing falls through the cracks while giving you the power to edit project data to suit your design strategy.

Keep your resources organized and find what you need quickly and easily with the new tag and custom tag feature. SOMO now automati-cally extracts metadata and uses it to organize and archive your data within SOMO. Even better, you can also define your own custom tags so that you can personalize your search information.

Edit and update default input vari-ables directly in SOMO using the web-based editable table and save yourself the time and effort of editing them in the workflow editor. You can edit the values of all scalar, matrix, vector and string input variables. Any edits you make will become the current default values at project level and all future DOE, Optimization and Single Run plans will be based on those values.
