Residence Halls Tours – West Campus – Eligibility: Single SIU students.

Salukis Abroad – Yes, the core of your SIU experience will be in Carbondale, but you also have the opportunity to study abroad in more than 50 countries. Come learn about the rich variety of experiences available to you overseas including study, research and
internships. We have options from two weeks to an academic year.
Coming Soon for a Saluki Near You: Your Preview of New Student Orientation – Future students, family members and guests are invited to attend this engaging presentation about the next steps in becoming part of the Saluki family. Learn about New Student Orientation (NSO) including what to expect when you attend, how to make a reservation for your NSO date, an overview of the program, academic advisement and class registration and more. Students: discover how NSO will help you meet new friends, prepare for academic success, and find your place in the SIU community. Family members and guests: ask questions about the transition process, find out what NSO can provide for Saluki supporters and learn about special programs just for YOU; including family/guest sessions at NSO, the Saluki Family Association and our Junior Saluki Experience for younger Salukis (entering 5th-12th grades).
Opportunities for Transfer Students – Review programs and procedures unique to the transfer student. Find out about scholarship and aid opportunities. Learn about the Dual Admission program and how to maximize your time at the community college. This session is for all transfer students.

SIU Arena, Tedrick AuditoriumExploratory Student Advisement (ESA) is the academic home for students who are in the major exploration and decision-making stage of their college careers. ESA offers students the opportunity to explore academic and career options while fulfilling core curriculum requirements. Academic advisors in ESA work with Career Services staff to help students find careers that suit their interests and strengths and the majors that will get them there. Students in ESA engage with their academic advisors to develop plans that will take them from where they are to where they want to be. Come learn why we say, “Graduation starts today with ESA!”
