Hill Memorial – Fittingly, ONU’s oldest building houses the Department of History and Politics. Venture into the basement, and you will find research labs actively used by students and faculty in the Department of Psychology, Sociology and Justice.

Northern on Main, a contemporary coffeehouse commonly referred to as NOM, is the perfect place to study or catch up with friends while enjoying great food and Starbucks® coffee.

Sing (or Play) Your Heart Out: Pursue your musical passion, as all performance ensembles are open to any student, regardless of major.

National Recognition: Ohio Northern has been named one of the top 200 programs in the nation for creative students by Creative Colleges: A Guide for Student Actors, Artists, Dancers, Musicians and Writers.

Presser Hall – One step into Snyder Recital Hall and you know it’s a special place where our talented faculty members guide ONU music students as they rehearse and perform.

James F. Dicke Hall – With faculty offices located just a few steps from each classroom, faculty-student interaction thrives within the College of Business Administration. Your classrooms facilitate student collaboration and teamwork with mobile desks and whiteboards lining the walls.

Civil War veteran Henry Solomon Lehr founded Ohio Northern University knowing that, in order to endure, the University would have to constantly meet the changing needs of society. More than 140 years later, a statue of H.S. Lehr presides over campus.

Taft Memorial – Today, the former home of ONU’s gymnasium features ice cream-scooping, sumo wrestling and air hockey-playing robots designed, built and programmed by technology students.

Outside Taft Memorial, you will find a small garden commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s visit to Ohio Northern on Jan. 11, 1968, just four months before his assassination.

Pay It Forward: All 15 chapel organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Northern Christian Fellowship, Ada Friends and Newman Club, give back to the community through the same core values: worship, fellowship, spirituality and service.

English Chapel – The center of religious and spiritual life on campus, the chapel features a main sanctuary and private prayer and meditation rooms. Chapel services are offered every Thursday morning for the campus community.

A Little Extra Help: Located on the second floor of the Heterick Memorial Library, the Communication Skills Center employs professionals and students who help proofread papers, videotape presentations or conduct mock interviews.{

Ohio Northern students keep on time with the chapel bells, which chime

every 15 minutes throughout the day and play the ONU Hymn at 11:50 a.m.

Find out the [True] Northern Facts! These days, the news is all about skyrocketing student debt. But the truth is this: There are many factors involved, and

it’s wise for families to get all the facts before making a decision that can impact their student’s future. With knowledge

about the real cost of the education and the return on that investment, students can fulfill their dreams without the

burden of unmanageable debt.

Consider these three facts about an ONU education:

1. Ohio Northern University invests in the success of its students by offering more than $58 million in gift assistance annually.

2. After only six months, Ohio Northern’s 2012 graduates have an overall placement rate of 92 percent to jobs and graduate schools.

3. Ohio Northern’s Return on Investment, or ROI, as calculated by a 2012 PayScale study places ONU’s

graduates and their earning power in the top 21 percent nationally and among the top six schools in Ohio. The

ROI analysis is significant evidence that ONU graduates fare better than most in terms of earnings over time.

ONU’s professional financial aid staff offers an individualized approach to financial aid counseling, with a goal of making a Northern education possible while keeping students informed about their investment.
