Goals

• Apply proper keyboarding technique to input data accurately when using a computer

• Select the appropriate technology to address business needs in a professional manner

• Apply the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, Publisher, Access, PowerPoint

• Understand the basic concepts of a computer network and identify components of a computer system

• Analyze computer operating systems and emerging technologies

Expectations

• R E S P E C T• Take responsibility for your grade and success• Campus dress & ID• Ready to work by the time class is scheduled to begin• Come to class prepared• Stay on task and complete assignments• ALL electronics, food, drink, candy or gum• Internet access will be upon teacher’s discretion and

approval

Passes

• Bathroom: 3 passes granted each six weeks. – No pass = no go– No sharing of passes– No carry-overs

• All other passes (front office, counselor, AP, security, library, etc) will be granted IF:– Daily activity completed & good behavior

• No exit granted 10 minutes at start of class, end of class or during instruction time.

• Get with partner • Obtain your index card• Get ready to introduce your new friend!!• Questions:– 1. What is your first & last name & how old are you?– 2. What did you do during the summer?– 3. What is an interesting fact about you?

• Do not leave with index cards – this is your first assignment grade!

• Sharing of your student ID• User name & password is your student ID– DO NOT CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD!!!

• Internet access using GOOGLE CHROME– DO NOT USE INTERNET EXPLORER

• Select GOOGLE as your homepage• Search Del Valle ISD• Find www.dvtechclassroom.com & navigate through it
