� A total of 5 hectares of land is being developed at Karfectar farm for production of Fodder. The perimeal as well as seasonal fodder has been introduced with cutting, clearing uprooting the roots, removal of weeds and unwanted plants. The work also includes removal of boulder, terracing and construction of stone walls, ploughing, managing of field by providing cow dung slurry and manure. The one pair bullock is also purchased in order to take ploughing of field for inproduction of seasonal as well as perineal fodder. A total of Rs.4, 33,502/- has been spent to carryout the above work.

� Similarly the additional one hectare of land is being developed alongwith terracing, leveling, ploughing and sowing of fodder grass amounting to Rs.1, 44,870/- during 2010-2011.

� The total expenditure on fodder developed during the year 2009-2010 & 2010-2011 comes to Rs.5, 78,502/- out of total provision of Rs.15 lakh as per DPR for Mother Dairy Project.

� A total of 25 progressive dairy farmers selected by Sikkim Milk Union Limited, Tadong completed 10 days training on Dairy Management atDairy Management atDairy Management atDairy Management at

NDRI NDRI NDRI NDRI (KARNAL).(KARNAL).(KARNAL).(KARNAL). The farmers were also taken for field visit including exposure trip to Chandigarh and Kuruchatra. The farmers successfully completed 10 days training at NDRI (KARNAL) and they will be given a subsidized loan on 25% to general category and 33.3% for ST/SC on a total loan sanctioned of 4.50 lakh. Under this project the loaner has to purchase 10 milch cows and the milk will be supplied to Milk Co-Operative Centers.

� A total of 20 paravets from four districts of Sikkim alongwith one officer Dr.B.M.Chettri completed 15 days training on Scientific Dairy FarmScientific Dairy FarmScientific Dairy FarmScientific Dairy Farm Management at NDRI (KARNALManagement at NDRI (KARNALManagement at NDRI (KARNALManagement at NDRI (KARNAL). The training was started from 13th September 2010 to 27th September 2010. The trainees were given detail knowledge on Artificial insemination,,,, automatic milking, and collection of semen at bull farm and fodder development and seed production. They were also taken field visit and exposure to Private Dairy Farm Surrounding Harayana. They were also taught on experimental dairy as well as Mother Dairy of NDRI (KARNAL).

� A valedictory function was held under the chief guest Dr. A.K.Shrivasta, Director- cum- Vice Chancellor NDRI (Karnal) on 28th September 2010 where the certificate distributed at KVK Centres NDRI, KARNAL. The Head of Training Cell Dr.Gosai was also present during the function alongwith Dr.N.B.Chettri, Joint Director, Dairy & Dr.B.M.Chettri, Deputy Director (Karfectar) from Sikkim State.

The machines were distribute and installed to the following beneficiaries:-
