FLANGE-MOUNTED EXPANSION JOINTSType: JLXLM. The expansion joint is attached to a duct's or pipe's flange using a separate counterflange. Typical solution for air blowers, for example. When using a flow controller, the gas is also allowed to have a solids content.

ANGLE IRON MOUNTED EXPANSION JOINTSType: JLXKLM. The expansion joint is installed using a frame made from angle iron. The ready-to install expansion joint and support frame can be attached to the duct or the actuator either by using bolts or by welding. A typical solution for blowers and limited-movement ducts.

EXPANSION JOINTS WITH A RAISED FRAMEType: JLXKM. The expansion joint is installed into a steel frame that raises it off the duct's level. This structure makes it possible to install insulations inside the frame when dealing with high temperatures. The assembly can be attached to the duct either by using bolts or by welding. A typical solution for the ducts in industrial facilities. Allows the gas to have a significant solids content.

The purpose of expansion joints is to compensate for thermal expansion occurring in ducts and pipes and to act as noise and vibration dampers. Every year, we manufacture thousands of expansion joints in different sizes and customize them to suit each customer's needs. Our product range includes, e.g., fabric expansion joints, blower expansion joints, spiral pipes, cylinder shields, rubber expansion joints and metal expansion joints.

Fabric expansion jointsA flexible, gas-tight expansion joint fabric consisting of one or more layers of material is the core of fabric

expansion joints. Temperature resistance is achieved by using insulating materials as the base so that the

gas-tight materials can work at their optimum temperature. An expansion joint can be attached to ducts or

pipes in several different ways.

CLAMP-MOUNTED EXPANSION JOINTSType: JLXPM. The expansion joint is attached onto the duct or pipe using clamps. A typical solution for ventilation ducts and other low pressure ducts. The gas must not contain solids. Cone-shaped expansion joints can be used to connect two pipes of different sizes.

Metal expansion joints and metal hosesA tight, durable and flexible solution. Metal expansion joints can endure

pressure, high temperatures and chemically aggressive conditions much

better than other expansion joints. We make both round and square

metal expansion joints. Depending on the conditions, metal expansion

joints may be equipped with an internal flow controller.

Rubber expansion jointsRubber expansion joints are most commonly used in liquid transfer

pipelines with a pressure level below 16 bar and a temperature below

100ºC. The type of rubber is selected based on the required chemical

properties.

IN-SERVICE INSPECTIONS

We carry out in-service inspections and expansion joint surveys so that the needed expansion joints can be ordered and maintenance services organized well before the service shutdown begins. The customer receives a written report for all inspections we carry out.

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE SERVICE

Our experienced maintenance staff can either install the expansion joints as a turnkey delivery or act as installation supervisors, depending on the customer’s wishes. If necessary, we can also repair the steel parts attached to the expansion joints.

We also offer expansion joint maintenance contracts tailored to the customer's needs:

• lists of the expansion joints including their ID's and technical specifications
