MIGUA provides with MIGUTEC a comprehensive program of expansion joint profiles for movement joints.

MIGUTEC covers a wide range of expansion joint profiles for simple usage in connection with architectural requirements. MIGUTEC is subdivided to scope of application to make the search easier.

Our floor profiles are available with different inserts and in different standard colours. Special colours are available on request.Aluminium mounting brackets are made of a high quality alloy to ensure a high loadable expansion joint profile but with small wall thicknesses. In addition some of our profiles are available in stainless steel to be resistant to aggressive media.

Smooth inserts are designed for hygienic areas in hospitals, kitchens and swimming pool areas.

For refurbishment, renovation and modernization we provide profiles for finished surfaces.

Our wall and ceiling profiles are available with inserts, but also with metal covers and spring clips for easy installation.

The contraction joint profiles which we had shown in the MIGUTRANS catalogue is now included in MIGUTEC to give a logical arrangement of all contraction joints.

Perforated aluminium angles combined with a flexible high quality elastomeric insert. Inserts are available in different colours and types. Some of the inserts are optimized for connection to carpets or PVC flooring. A number of profiles are available with stainless steel or brass covers. This type of profile is frequently used for screed areas combined with tiles or other flooring like carpets or PVC.

Stainless steel mounting brackets made of various alloys (304 and 316), for different load capacities, combined with inserts for different movements ensures a high resistance to aggressive media. We are glad to check the suitability in your particular case, depending on the type and concentration of the media. Please ask for our technical advice.

Smooth inserts combined with a wide variety of mounting brackets made of aluminium or stainless steel. The smooth inserts have been specially designed for sterile hygienic areas such as hospitals, large kitchens or swimming pool areas. They are antibacterial and physiologicallysafe.

These profiles are designed forsurface fixing (sometimes referred to as “retro-fit or drop-in”).Inserts are made of flexible high quality elastomeric material. Inserts are available in different colours and types. Raised inserts for connecting to carpets or PVC flooring are also available.

In order to relieve stresses infloor finishes and underlying screeds it is necessary to separate these materials on the vertical plane. MIGUA contraction joint systems, which are functional and aesthetically pleasing, can provide solutions.

MIGUA wall and ceiling profiles covers a wide range of profiles for applications with plaster, tiles, plasterboards, concrete, suspended ceilings and facades. These profiles consist of aluminium brackets with high quality elastomeric inserts.MIGUA also offers profiles with plastic or metal cover.

The positive connection of the individual profile lengths is obtained by use of slide-in connection pins (Series ESF 10/... and ESF 27/...) or by staggering in slide-in anchors in the individual aluminium profiles (Series ESF 16/...).

A joint filler strip must be placed between the aluminium mounting brackets. This joint filler is not included in our delivery.Series ESF 8, ESF 9, ESF 10 = 5 mm, Series ESF 22 = 12 mm, Series ESF 16 = 10 mm, Series ESF 27 = 15 mm joint filler.

The height of the joint filler will depend on the overall height required, but it must be sufficient to ensure that the screed is completely separated at the joint locations.

Before installing the profiles ensure that the mounting brackets are completely clean and grease/oil free. The perforated legs of the profile must be pressed into the first fresh layer of mortar or screed and levelled.

Thereafter apply more screed. Depending on the thicknessof the floor finish (measured from top edge of profile)the ESF profile must oversail the screed to suit.
