Objective: Be able to expand a bracket over a single term

A typical Question• Expand the following

2(x + 4)

x + 42 2x 8+

x + 42 2x + 8

So we have

2(x + 4) = 2x + 8

Here’s another• Expand the following

4(2a - 3)

2a - 34 8a 12-

So we have

4(2a - 3) = 8a - 12
