WELCOMEBIGGER THAN EVERWelcome to the fourth annual Toorak Village Festival of Sculpture: The gallery that is open twenty-four hours a day for the whole month of May. This year art lovers and collectors have over one hundred sculptures to consider in boutiques, gift shops, restaurants, cafes, and numerous other business windows. We invite you to explore our Village and its countless charms whilst admiring a large variety of sculptures in various different mediums and ranging in price from a few hundred dollars to thousands. Remember all sculptures are for sale!
We are proud that this festival is the biggest show yet. The enthusiasm of the artists and traders participation, together with the support of Stonnington Council and our valued sponsors, has made it more vibrant and stronger than ever. When you peruse the sculptures don’t miss the side streets and arcades, where the artwork has been carefully placed to complement their settings. During your visit relax with a coffee or a wine, and sit back and appreciate all Toorak Village has to offer. If you overlook any sculptures or are short of time, the month-long exhibition allows you to return as often as you like. Thank you for enjoying our festival.
Tony Fialides – PresidentToorak Village Traders Association
In presenting this exhibition, I was concerned at the scale of the task in presenting over 100 works in locations so various that the complexity of coordinating it could be too difficult. This year I am very happy to have achieved this milestone for the Festival. The exhibition reflects an overall view of what is happening in sculpture today. Sculpture is a popular and accepted medium and this Fourth Toorak Festival of Sculpture has now become a fixture on the arts calendar in Australia. The Village Traders have increased their support every year and with the City of Stonnington, Worrells Motors and Greythorn Galleries combine to make it Australia’s largest exhibition of its type.
