Exhibitor Proposal

Exhibitor ProposalOn behalf of the Nordic Gerontological Federation (Nordisk Gerontologisk Förening), we have the pleasure of inviting you to take part in the Congress as an exhibitor.

You will have an excellent opportunity to present your products and services to the Congress participants, to meet Nordic and international decision makers and opinion leaders, and to profile your organization at the highest level of research and policy on ageing.

The 23rd Nordic Congress of Gerontology (23 NKG) will take place in Tampere, Finland, 19–22 June 2016.

Congress theme and participantsAround 700 participants from all over the world but especially from the Nordic countries, Europe, Japan and North America are expected to participate in the 23 NKG in Tampere. The Nordic Congress of Gerontology has developed to one of the most important European meetings in the field of ageing research and is well-known for its multidisciplinary approach and pleasant atmosphere. The participants are researchers from medicine, health, social sciences, and services research; experts and decision makers on international, national and local level, as well as companies and NGOs working in the field of ageing.

The congress theme ‘Good ageing – better society’, reflects our growing understanding of ageing and older people as an integral part of our societies, and the importance of well-being in old age to all age groups. The conference promotes awareness of gerontological research as a tool for reaching the full potential of longer lives.

The Congress venueThe Congress venue will be the Congress and Concert Centre Tampere Hall, located close to the city centre as well as to the University of Tampere main building and many hotels. Tampere Hall has hosted hundreds of international congresses within science, economics, culture and politics, and five times it has been voted Finland’s best congress center. Tampere Hall offers a spacious exhibition area full of light. Congress coffees and lunches will be served in the exhibition area to guarantee the best possible visibility for the exhibited products and services.

OrganizersThe Congress will be arranged in collaboration with the Gerontology Research Center (GEREC), which is a collaborative effort in ageing research between the University of Tampere and University of Jyväskylä, and three scientific societies in the field of ageing, Societas Gerontologica Fennica, the Finnish Society for Growth and Ageing Research, and Finnish Geriatricians.
