- 관상동맥 질환: 심장질환의 80% 차지
- 심장 관상동맥 질환 진행
동맥경화 → 협심증 → 심근경색 → 심장마비(돌연사)

metal stent) 를 탑 재하여 협착부위에
도달시킨 후 팽창시키는 스텐트 삽입술이

- 재협착 방지용 약물부착 스텐트는 연구한 바 있으나 고기능성
의 생분해성 매트릭스 약물방출 스텐트(DES)의 개발은 전무함
국내 연구개발의 필요성
- 식생활 문화의 변화 및 생활 환경의 영향으로 심장질환
환자수가 매년 25% 이상 증가 추세
- 스텐트 시장의 성장율은 매년 30% 이상 증가 예상
- 국내 년간 스텐트 시술건수는 약 5만건으로, 약 800억원
이상의 국내시장 형성
- 특히 약물방출 스텐트는 100% 수입함으로 국산화가 시급함
- 기존의 상품화된 약물방출 스텐트의 경우, 고가이고 신생내
막의 과도한 증식(late catch-up) 및 후기혈전증 현상 있음
- 저가이면서 약물의 부작용이 적고 장기간 항증식성 및
