III. Objectives/Purpose of the Project Outline the objectives and/or the purpose of the project by identifying the needs, issues or opportunities to be addressed. Include the target population/primary beneficiaries (e.g. age range) of the project and any other related information. Ensure that the objectives/purpose of the project align with the purpose of the Grant Program (please refer to the BCCE Guidelines for additional information). Some examples of information to include here are: Length of time the need(s)/issue(s) has existed;

How the persistence of this issue has impacted the target population; and

Whether the need(s)/issue(s) have ever been addressed before, including outcomes.

IV. Partners/Participants in the ProjectCollaboration and partnership is encouraged. List and describe the partners/participants involved in the project, including an overview of their role and function and capacity to meet the project’s objective/purpose.

VIII.Budget Breakdown Provide a clear statement of the total amount of funds being requested from Alberta Education. Indicate what percentage of the total budget for the project would be covered by the requested funds (e.g. 50%, 100%, etc.). If submitting a proposal in partnership with other organizations, the total budget requested by all partners must be included.

IX. ReportingProject and financial reports are required by Alberta Education throughout the duration of the project. Describe how the organization’s reporting will focus on demonstrating that funds were used for their intended purpose and planned activities were completed and results were achieved. Reporting on the project’s activities is required on: 1. August 15, 2016 (year one activities)2. August 15, 2017 (year two activities) 3. August 15, 2018 (final report)

X. Project Support Letters of support by all project partners identified in the proposal must be submitted and are required by provincial school authorities, First Nation education authorities, and/or individual First Nations. A sample letter has been included at the end of this template. Any additional documents that demonstrate project support/partnership (i.e. Band Council Resolutions, Tribal Council Resolutions) by partners will also be accepted.
