RECENT EVENTS

Larilyn found that sometimes the Icelanders combined design and humor to trick you into confusing art with reality. It certainly brightens the long winter!

"Golden Falls”, is one of Iceland’s many river, falls and gorge systems. There had been some discussion about harnessing the power, but a young girl walked to Reykjavik and told the government she would throw herself over the falls if they built a power plant. The idea was scrapped.

Our October meeting featured a discussion of Iceland from the perspective of Drott members Larilyn André, who visited in September, and Keith, Katrin, and Kevin Shoemaker who visited during the summer.
