Excellent condition Louis Erard regulateur watch with caliber ETA 7001, 17 jewels.

This is a beautiful manual winding watch with caliber ETA 7001, 17 jewels. The watch comes with a white dial and two counters, one for the seconds with “regulateur” and one for the hours. On the hedge of the dial come the minutes in roman numerals every five minutes. The back case has a sapphire crystal that allows seeing the beautiful ETA movement. In addition comes engraved “Waterresistant 5 ATM – Stainless steel – 201 - Swiss Made”. The watch comes with a brown Louis Erard leather strap as well as a folding buckle.

The company was founded in 1929 by Louis Erard at La Chaux de Fonds. The company had its fair share of up and down, even to the point of closing down at the beginning of the 1990’s. The company was re-launched in 2003 by a group of investors led by Alain Spinedi offering high quality mechanical watches at affordable prices. In 2006, the company celebrated its 75th anniversary and re-launched for this occasion the original 1931 collection from Louis Erard, GMT Big Date and Moon Phase. In 2007, it launched the Evolution line and then in 2008 it entered the world of complications with the development of an exclusive module. One more step toward Haute Horlogerie at affordable price.
