RC Bagumbayan -

Dear District 3810 Rotaractors,

As this year’s Senior Deputy Governor, I have seen a lot of things in the past 10 months that have truly made me proud to be a Rotarian. Among these are the activities initiated by you, Rotaractors, who, despite your limited resources, continue to address with passion the needs of others, in the spirit of “Fellowship through Service”.

I am deeply touched and proud to have worked with you, and I believe that you deserve this night of recognition and celebration. I feel that my work has been made easy because of the initiative and leadership that you have all shown. Thus, on behalf of my fellow Rotarians and district officers, I congratulate all of you for the commitment you have shown in your projects, for the friendships you have built, and for the lives you have touched.

May this year’s Rotaract Awards Night reveal not only the excellent things you have done, but also inspire each one of you to continue striving for the better good of humanity. Truly, the “Future of Rotary” is in the hands of young, dynamic people like you.

Mabuhay sa inyong lahat!

Message of theDistrict Governor

Rotaract District Awards 2010Sponsors

"Excellence Revealed: The D3810 RotaractAwards Night", an apt title for this momentous event because this will be the time when together we look back and behold the spectacle of our achievements and contributions to the great accomplishments of our year under the leadership of our Visionary Rotaract Presidents who led our Rotaract clubs with dedication and pride. This is the appropriate time when together we look back to our year and behold the significance of our accomplishments at a time when our communities needed us most.

No, we don’t need awards. We are committed to the ideal of selfless service – without looking back for material rewards. Awards and recognitions are simple manifestations of gratitude, a simple “Thank you” for the wonderful things we do for others. These are simple tokens that serve as priceless testimonies to your commitment to excel in anything you do and to inspire others to give of their best in the pursuit of our common dream of building a better world.

To our Rotaract Clubs, Rotaractors, Rotaract District Committee headed by DRR Izel Guatno, District Rotaract Committee headed by Dep. Gov. Gabe Trias, Programs Group headed by SDG Ernest Yuyek and all sponsoring rotary clubs “Thank You” for being foundations of our successful year of service. “Thank You” for the magnificent achievements that have made our year a vital part of the colorful history of District 3810 and our organization as a whole, a year that we can all look back to with pride, happiness and joy in our hearts. Thank you for the good things we have done and for showing genuine commitment to the Rotary ideal.

To all our Visionary Rotaract Presidents, congratulations for your first-rate service as leaders of your clubs this Rotary Year 2010-2011. You have done more than you can ever imagine and I am deeply proud and honored to have served with you.

To all Rotaractors of District 3810, our young leaders, together we met the challenges that came our way with determination and commitment to service, you have made Rotary Year 2009-2010 a truly historic year in building a better world and truly you have shown that “The Future of Rotary is in Our Hands.” Thank you and Mabuhay ang Team District 3810!

Leaders come and go, and there are ALL kinds. The Rotaractors of District 3810 stand out in both form and substance and in the enviable quality of "not trying too hard!"

An international recognition by Rotary International to one of us in our district tops it all off. We should be proud of Rotaract Club of Manila’s achievements and to all the other Rotaract Clubs’ service efforts equally worthy of such an award.

Rotaract District Committee’s Rotaract Awards Night & Masquerade Party “Excellence Revealed” honoring the best of the best highlights a year of service to our communities. Congratulations to all Rotaract District Officers on a wonderful journey in providing guidance and support to all. You are all an epitome of your own caliber.

Let us all continue our adventure to lead others lives in building a better future.

And when we thought that the worst was over, our country faced international criticism due to the increasing rate of pre-election violence and alleged vote-buying “We live in the best of times.” Yet despite these challenges, we continued to serve, we continued to  build relationships, and we continued to work for a brighter future.  Like fire to a coal, those difficulties brought out the best in us, and made us witness the excellent things that we can achieve together.  Without concern for our own finances, we Rotaractors organized various activities to reach out to the poor, the hungry,  the sick, and the needy.  Without thinking about our own losses, we Rotaractors braved heavy rains and floods to serve communities badly affected by the typhoons. Without regard for our own personal safety, we volunteered  to guard  the country’s votes and promote a clean elections.  I am humbled and overwhelmed by all that you Rotaractors have accomplished, and I am grateful to have been given the opportunity serve with you.  Dear District 3810 Visionary Leaders, “We live in difficult times”. The Rotary Year 2009-2010 began with a daunting theme:  The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands.  The call was made even more challenging by the fact that the year started with  our country  facing an economic crisis, our health threatened by various diseases, and our government officials plundering our nation’s wealth.  Then a few months later, rich and poor alike faced the wrath of nature, as heavy rains poured in our

Another year has come to an end, but definitely we will not forget to recognize each and everyone for a job well done.

They say, when you do something that you love most, you don’t need to drag yourself out of bed and push yourself to work. I definitely agree to this. The preparation for this District Awards wasn’t so easy especially being the chairperson. But whatever difficulty it gave me, I didn’t mind it all because Rotaract is what I love and I know that this is where I belong.

Because we, Rotaractors don’t just work for work’s sake but we work because this work- ROTARACTING is an activity that has a great value in our lives. We work not only for ourselves but we work for a meaningful purpose.

Allow me to take this opportunity to thank the Rotaract District Committee who patiently worked to make this recognition night possible and most especially to DRR Izel Marie B. Guatno & DCHR Gabriel S. Trias Jr., for being so supportive not only to the RDC but to all the rotaractors. I would also like to thank my home club- Rotaract Club of Our Lady of Remedies and our sponsoring Rotary Club Bagumbayan –Manila.

Truly, “Excellence was revealed!”

KUDOS to all the ROTARACTORS of the world!
