EXAMINATION PROCESS

RAROME Provides two types of Grading systems • CBSE Grading System for Primary and Secondary Classes • EYFS (Early year Foundation Stages) Programs for Pre-Primary Classes

CBSE Grading System

CBSE Configuration

This Section allows us to configure the complete Exam Structure like Assign Classes, Manage Grades, Subject Groups, Exam Categories, Create Exams, Weightage Marks Configuration, Mark Sheet Configuration and Exam Timetable.

Assign Classes

Here we need to assign classes for CBSE curriculum by clicking on Assign Class select the relevant class from the list.

Then click on Assign button and a message will be displayed, saying Classes Assigned Successfully The new class will be listed under the Assigned Classes tab.

Manage GradesHere we configure the Grade structure for Exams and Assessments. These grades can be based on both parameters either Marks or Percentages

To create a new Grade Group, Select Create Grade Group tab and provide grade group name and select the parameter - Marks or Percentage

Define Grades There are Three options in Action Column, when you select Grades Option you will be redirected to a Screen that shows a list of Grades under a selected Grade Group, with their Mark/Percentage Minimum and Maximum Limits and Grade Point defined.

Create Exam Grades Select Create Exam Grades tab and select a Particular group. Then enter details like Grade Name, Minimum and Maximum Limits (in terms of marks/percent), Grade Points, Attribute and Comments, if any.

Subject GroupsHere User will Create Subject Groups and assign to its Grade Group. We can configure Two type of subject groups here and define subjects to these categories.

• Scholastic • Co-Scholastic

Create Subject Group Select Create Subject Group and provide Subject Group Name and Subject Details

In the Add Subject section, you can add a subject that has already been created by choosing from the list and clicking on the Plus sign.

For Co-Scholastic Subject Groups, we can also create a custom subject or any activity for the exam or for Assessment (in case the subject was not created earlier) by clicking on the



Plus sign first and then provide the custom activity name in the Subject/Activity box. We can also create sub activity under any custom activity.

(Figure 19) To reorder the subjects of the group for the exam, click on the Reorder icon and click and drag the subjects to change the order. Once this is done, click anywhere outside the box and the Reordering of subjects will be saved automatically. This order subject groups will be visible to Parents in the Mark Sheet and Report Card.

Create Exams

This section lets you create and manage exams. You can Edit or Delete the details using the relevant option under Actions.

Weightage Marks Configuration This configuration is very integral part for Exam Process. Here we configure the below process:

• Configure Exam Weightage's for Particular Term

• Provide Maximum Mark Limit for Particular Exam

• Configuring Exams for Particular Term

• Configuring Subject Groups for Particular Term



Select the Class/Grade and Exam Term from the dropdown lists on the top left. A list will be shown in a table format, with Subjects on the left and the Exam Categories on the top.

You can select a different subject group from the Add Subject Group section and a Particular exam category from the Add Exam section.

You can set the Weightage and Maximum Limit for each subject and exam. The maximum limit will be the maximum marks for the Particular subject under that exam. The weightage per exam will be a percentage that will be added to the subject’s total calculation for the whole term. The total weightage of all exams in a term should add up to 100.

Mark Sheet Configuration

This section lets you configure Mark Sheets for exam terms. Create Mark Sheet click on Create Mark Sheet tab and enter a Name and Mark Type. Select a Template for Mark Sheet from the list. Select a Term from the Add Category list and click on Plus sign. In the new Term section, enter a weightage percent for the term.

CASE – 1 For Term 1 Mark Sheet or Report Card, Category Weightage would be 100 for Term 1

CASE -2 For Final Mark Sheet or Report Card, category Weightage would be 50 % of Term 1 and 50% of Term 2.

We can create Mark Sheets for each term or the full academic year for all the classes using this section. To see Mark Sheet of each class, select the class from the dropdown list on the top left.

Exam Timetable This section lets you manage the exam schedule configure Mark Sheets for exam terms. To do this, go to navigation menu and click on Exams, Configuration, CBSE and Exam Timetable. Select the Class/Grade, Section, Exam Category/Term and Exam from the dropdown lists on the top.

For each subject, you can set the Invigilator, Start Date and Time, Duration and Room Number. After filling up the details, click on Update Exam Timetable to save the details. A message will be displayed, saying Exam Timetable Updated Successfully.

You can take a printout of the Hall Ticket/Exam Admit Card for all the students of the class by clicking on Print button. This will give the admit Cards of all the students in one Screen and they will need to separate by tearing.

CBSE Exam Marks and Reports

RAROME ERP provides a seamless way to manage the results of every student. This Part of Exam Module is also available in Teacher’s Login so they can update their assigned classes marks in the System

Subject-wise Marks

Here teacher can update marks subject wise, this is useful when subject teacher is assigning marks to his class for Particular term and exam.

A list of students is displayed below and you or a teacher can fill in or update their marks for each test in the specific subject

Tabulation Sheet This shows us the summarise marks status of selected class, section and exam. The Tabulation Sheet shows each student’s marks for each subject with the total marks obtained against the maximum marks. The Grade that the student has achieved is Generated automatically based on the marks he/she has scored in the exams.

Marks SummaryUsing this section, you can view a student’s marks for a Particular term in all the subjects he/she has given the tests. To do this, go to navigation menu and click on Exams, Exam Marks and Reports, CBSE and Marks Summary. In the Screen, select the Class/Grade, Section, Student and the Exam Term.

Generate Report Card

This section lets you Generate Report Cards for students. In the Screen, select the Class/Grade, Section, Student and the Exam Term.

The Academic Session is shown on the top while, the Roll Number, Name, Class and personal details are given on the left side. Below this, the selected term’s Mark Sheet is displayed in a table format with Subjects on the left and Tests on top with Marks obtained and Grades. Below this table, it will be shown if a student is promoted to the next class, along with the Class Teacher and Principal’s signature and remarks.

You can select any student of any class/section and see his/her Mark Sheet for different terms using the options on top. For printing the Report Card, click on the Print Report Card button at the bottom.

Bulk Upload

This feature reduces teacher time for assigning marks, here teacher can bulk upload of marks Exam wise

Here a Screen appears where we will select Evaluation Type, Class, Section, Exam Category, Exam name as shown below, and click on the download template button, it will provide an excel sheet in your local machine.

This Evaluation Process is used in pre-primary classes development Assessment. Here we create Assessment Parameters which evaluates child’s development in Particular Assessment category.

For EYFS Evaluation we need to categorise the Child’s Development Areas and for that we create Assessment topics in those topics we create Category and Subcategories. Teacher will assign Parameters on Subcategories.

Assign Student Grades Here we assign the grade parameters to Particular class students in selected exam term and the Assessment topic. A list of categories and sub-categories will appear below, with options to grade them.
