The competition among cosmetic retailers to sell products is an on-going battle, and these creative cosmetic  web campaigns that they use as pop ups  are some clever examples of how businesses are attempting to sell their products in unique and bold ways.Makeup can be a fun and playful thing to experiment with, especially for young girls, but with so many different brands and options to choose from, deciding what to purchase and from what retailer can be difficult. These creative cosmetic campaigns however, have utilized unique strategies and outside-the-box designs in order to capture the interest of consumers. By incorporating flamboyant colors, over-the-top imagery and clever references, these cosmetic pop up ads are serving to showcase a more imaginative take on ordinary makeup this is what I intend to create with my web pop up a look that will truly catch the audiences eye.

This ad creates a stylish look due to them sticking to a colour scheme of orange black and white, this also creates a edgy striking look that catches the audiences eye. The camera shot used allows the audience to clearly see the models face allowing you to know that it is a makeup ad. the back ground creates a sleek and clean cut look by having horizontal lines that cause not only the model to look longer and thinner but to create a image that looks the same.

This is an advertisement for Florence and the machines album. This has an image of Florence which is made to look like a drawing as the background and the lower half of her body is un realistic and not something you would see everyday. This picture makes you think that the songs are all fantasy based or have their own style due to it being creative and different. This picture also draws you in and makes you wonder why they have composed it in this way, I have found that most web pop ups or advertisements for albums tend to either have the album cover or the lead singe on the front as the vocal point drawing the audience in. They have the name of the band at the top of the magazine advertisement in larger font than most of the ad to make sure the audience are aware of the bands name I will also use this techniques allowing my audience to also be aware of this .The name of the album 'Lungs' is displayed underneath the image allowing the audience to know what album to buy it also explains the image above creating a link between them both. The picture is mounted on a black background to create a more indie look so that the ad soesnt look to soft and give the audience the wrong idea of what the music genre is all the writing is done in white to create a contrast against the background. The text tells you when the album is released, what No.1 hits of theirs is on the album, It also says what the album on.

This is an advertisement for Ellie Goulding's album 'Lights'. This advertisement has a picture of Ellie Goulding looking quite natural looking away from the camera with her hand behind her head creating a soft image that is appealing to her audience. She has very neutral makeup on as they have emphasised on her hair and edited the strands causing it to look as if she has lights running through her hair empathising the alums name and creating a link. and behind her there is lots of lights creating a brighter image and empathising the album name even more. The rest of the background and what she is wearing is black, this is a good effect to use having the model or image contain the same colour as the background allowing it to blend in gradually at the bottom of the image. All of the written parts, apart from her name which is in gold, is in white this allows the album name and her name to stand out , the smaller writing that includes quotes from critics and the amount of stars they would give it and also informing the audience that the album includes No.1 hits.
