Steps to add a combo box (drop down menu for transaction type)1. Make a new table with only one text field. Type in your desired transaction type itmes (check, deposit, withdrawal, etc.)2. In the design view of the register table, select the transaction type field and got to the lookup window.3. On the Display Control line select a combo box4. On the Row Source Type line select “Table/Query”.5. On the Row Source line select Transaction T ype (or whatever you named your type table) as the table you will select your combo box items from.

To create a FORM for your register tables use the Form wizard and select the Register table as the source for the Register Form. The wizard will guide you’re the rest of the way.

Switchboard
Select Tools, Database Utilities, Switchboard ManagerAnswer “yes” to “Would you like to create one?In the next window, choose editAdd a new Switchboard Item such as Enter New Transaction
Select the command as “Open Form in Add modeSelect the Register as the Form
Repeat the process for other Items. I have given you a screen shot for adding a report as a switchboard item.
This process should add a Switchboard Item table and a Switchboard form.
