Exalting Jesus Christ!

Today’s Message:

Christmas and Communion

A Message from Galatians 4:4-5, Philippians 2:5-8, Luke 2:10-11, Matthew 26:26-29

Speaker: Rev. Stan Sanger

WELCOME ON THIS 2nd

SUNDAY IN ADVENT

On the church calendar, the Advent season celebrates

the “coming” or “arrival” of Jesus Christ. This is the second Sunday

of Advent. We light the second candle of the Advent Wreath and

think about Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ

(Matthew 1:16).

On this Sunday, we also share Communion, which is a

remembrance of Jesus, His death and resurrection. Communion is celebrated by the Church around the world. The Church is God’s primary channel of taking the

Gospel or “good news” of salvation to the world.

We are a part of The Christian and Missionary Alliance. We join

hands in ministry world-wide. We praise the Lord for what He

is doing around the globe:

6 million lives have been changed and become a part of

the Alliance family.

20,000+ churches have been planted with about 250 new

churches added every month.

80+ countries have people responding to the gospel

for the first time.

This is the Lord’s doing. Jesus, who is called Christ,

is touching lives through Cherry Tree Alliance Church as we partner with The Alliance. In this way, we share the

Advent or “coming” of Jesus with millions world-wide.

Please pray for Paul and Meladee Davis, Alliance missionaries serving in Gabon, Africa. They have recently begun several projects, including the

construction of a new eye clinic building, with several teams from the U.S. coming to help with construction. The foundation work starts on December

7th. Another project is taking place in the Bongolo Hospital operating rooms, where floors and walls are being re-tiled and moveable cabinets and tables

are being added. They are also building a new walkway in front of the administration building and redoing the waiting areas in this location.

The Davis family asks for your prayers for the safety of all those working on these projects and for the projects to remain on schedule. They also ask

for prayer “for all these projects to be blessed by God, and to be used to bring the good news of Christ to the lost.” Amen!

Missionary of the Week

Ask the Lord for opportunities to share with others the true meaning behind the joy that is celebrated this Christmas season. May God use you to share the good news of Jesus' birth with loved ones, friends &

others during this time of celebrating His advent!
