BOGOTA’
A passionate sportsman and sailing enthusiast. He met his future partners during his work experience at Prada. An electronics engineer, he spends most of his free time at sea. He particularly enjoys reading and travelling. It is no coincidence that he travels for work all around the world.
PAOLO PRATESI
Italian design of the 1950s, Modern and Contemporary Art are his passions; he spends his free time visiting exhibitions and hanging out with artists. He is a civil engineer, he loves animals, particularly his inseparable dog and enjoys running in all sorts of weather conditions. He loves the timeless beauty and charm of Venice and the landscapes of the Val D’Orcia.
GIANRICO SPECCHIO
As a mechanical engineer, he is a motors enthusiast and delights himself in making complex car models. A gardening lover, he spends part of his spare time outdoors, devoting himself to his olive grove. Three dogs, roaming around his yard absolutely free, are also part of his family. He loves Paris for its elegance and romance and New York for its cosmopolitan energy. He visits both cities often for obvious work reasons.

PARIS
ABERCROMBIE & FITCHThe scenario immediately appeared extremely challenging and fascinating at the same time. Maybe it is the allure of the Champs Elysées that transforms the eff ort of overcoming diffi culties just into an elegant process. The project was about engineering and building 2,800 square meters on 6 levels. The full architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and interior fi nishes scope of work resulted in a considerable eff ort when it came to construction design development, sampling and monitoring all production processes. Our procurement team acquired 3,000 diff erent items for this project, we transported 20 meter-tall trees from a nursery in Italy and successfully planted 42,000 ivy plants in the beautiful 1,200 square meters vertical garden. Several tons of brass were forged to build balusters and portals. A unique project when it comes to its grandeur. A wonderful challenge that we’ll always
remember with great pride.
MILAN
DIOR WOMEN’S
Via Monte Napoleone, an 18th century
building, a project by the Archistar Peter Marino. We had just a few days
to transform 530 square meters into
a feast for the eyes and the spirit.
Exclusive marbles, fi ne fi nishes
made by French decorators, ceilings
with mirrored surfaces, Swarovski
crystal constellations and silver stone
spirals. The main staircase covered in
marble with art nouveau wrought iron
banisters and gypsum mouldings made
entirely by hand on site. Also in this
case a good dose of professionalism
and competence was necessary to
present a boutique unique in its own
way.

COPENHAGEN ILLUM MALL
LA RINASCENTE
How to renovate the 5,600 square
meters women’s department of a mega
store like Illum without ever stopping
any sales activity? Simple, by working
at night, while carrying on quiet and
discrete work during the keeping of a
fully functional machine, 24/7. At fi rst,
45 temporary spaces were created so
that none of the brands would have to
close even for a minute, while 36 shop
in shops were set up and stores moved
to their fi nal location, all in 4 nights.
The most often heard word during this
project was “coff ee”.
NEW YORK - SOHO JIL SANDER
Working alongside an artist is an
honour and an opportunity to learn.
In this project the artists were more
than one: the creative director Raf
Simons and the artist Germaine
Kruip. The collaboration was a very
creative process. From the concept
development to the research of
materials, to the exchange of secret
recipes between our and Germaine’s
teams. The result was one of the
most innovative spaces ever created,
where entering is an experience that
engages thoughts and senses, time
and memory.
SAN FRANCISCO
DOLCE&GABBANA
A building of great historical and
architectural value was waiting for
us on Grant Avenue in San Francisco.
800 square meters on 3 levels that
required considerable demolition and
structural reconstruction, preserving
the historic building and complying
with the seismic codes - given the very
high and constant risk of earthquakes
to which the area is exposed. There
was only one thing to do: work
closely with specialists and advisors,
in order to fi nd ad hoc solutions and
combine regulations and design. The
very tight schedule was pressing. The
outcome: schedules respected, great
diffi culty, great satisfaction.
ROME
LAURA BIAGIOTTIA race against time: 5 months to create a new concept, obtain permits and build a store in the heart of the Eternal City. Because of the lengthy process to obtain authorizations from the municipality, the actual construction time shrinked to just 2 months. Eventually, we managed to create a 240 square meters store with a tailor-made design, where white and red, the iconic brand colours, play with mirrors and polished steel, which brighten the spaces and the spiral staircase running around walls cladded in fl uted marble, reminiscent of ancient Roman columns, which decorate also product displays and furniture. Costs contained and schedule kept thanks to
our value engineering solutions.
DOHA
HARVEY NICHOLSWe carried out the fi t-out marble fi nishing works of the biggest and most luxurious department store in the Doha Festival City Mall, Harvey Nichols. 8,000 square meters of fl oorings and 4,000 of wall claddings run throughout the 3-storeys sales area, ranging from precious marble to metal, special ceramic tiles on lava stone, cement and Venetian terrazzo, all custom made in straight and curved shapes, or in 3D. Given the special nature of the materials, not available in Qatar, and the political situation of the region, an extraordinary procurement and global logistics coordination eff ort was made, to attain the fi nal result: perfection in the tiniest detail, even in
wide spaces.
MOSCOW
TIFFANY&CO.The Petrovsky Passage project presented itself as a great challenge, considering the location, Moscow’s oldest shopping centre, part of the city’s architectural cultural heritage, and Tiff any’s ambition to reproduce the typical New York design, just a few steps from the Red Square. The most complex aspects were creating a new staircase with a self-supporting metal structure and steps, raisers and stringers cladded in Carrara marble like the fl ooring, decorated with a three-dimensional pattern, which did not allow the slightest error in mm. Our craftsmen masterly managed to remake all the windows and frames of the mall’s historical façade preserving the early
20th century Russian allure.
DUBAI GUCCI
In the renowned Fashion Avenue of
the world’s largest mall, The Dubai
Mall, just under the Burj Khalifa, we
created the new Gucci store, featuring
a double volume space with an
imposing staircase. Precious materials
were procured directly from Italy, as
the ones to create custom made velvet
walls and exquisite wood coff ered
ceilings, with the unmistakable touch
of Italian craftmanship. All the permits
from the various local authorities were
obtained following a tight schedule,
allowing the handover of a store
worthy of this prestigious brand.
LONDON
DOLCE&GABBANAThe Dolce & Gabbana store in Old Bond Street celebrates the fashion stylists’ vision of London. We fully restored the exterior façade preserving the building’s Baroque heritage, featuring running balconies in dark wrought iron embellished with gilded fi ttings. Oversized black and white graphical stones run throughout the fl oorings and the spiral staircase sitting centre stage, with individually hand-crafted contrasting inlaid marble steps. The fi rst and second fl oors are faced in book-matched marble and mirrored walls, with products displayed in minimal walnut framed displays. The 3 upper fl oors are connected by a delicate oval stairway in an uninterrupted sequence of marble slabs creating a mirroring eff ect, so that the staircase looks identical from above and below. Majestic breath-taking beauty.
MILAN TIFFANY&CO.
In a unique setting, adjacent to the
Milan Duomo and the Galleria, the
over 8-meter-high 12 majestic show
windows refl ect the gothic spires of
the cathedral, creating a precious
frame to the 2,500 square meters of
the exclusive jeweller’s largest store
in Europe and the second largest in
the world. After conducting major
structural works which reshaped the
internal space, an astounding store
was formed with marble interiors,
Venetian plaster, precious paintings,
gold leaf signage and majestic glass
rod chandeliers. Tiff any’s wheat leaf is
elegantly exalted in metal handrails,
light panels, stucco arches and show
windows, thanks to the work of our
skilled Italian craftsmen. Surely
Audrey Hepburn would have loved to
have breakfast here.
