External integral insulation made from stainless steel foil is an application to EURO 4+ and TIER
IV from ATEX Company
� Integral insulation is required adaptation for DPF and SCR exhaust systems.
� Following application provide correct burning of exhaust gasses in the filter
(about 600°C)

Example application for off-road machinery:
• Adaptation: SCR or DPF exhaust systems for TIER IV
• Material: Stainless steel pipe: 1.4301 (AISI 304)
• Diameter: 76,1 mm x 2 mm
• CLR: 99,1
• Insulation: glassneedlemat 10mm (up to 550 °C), silicatneedlemats 10mm (up to 1000 °C),
covered with stainless steel foil 1.4828 (AISI 309)
• Application: 550 °C or 1000 °C
• Test: Assuming that ambient temperature is 20°C and medium is about 550°C considering air
flow 1 m/s temperature of the outer surface is 130°C
• Additionally: insulated compensator HUTCHINSON ESPA – LINKEO or WESTFALIA GHT
• Collar end: type DEUTZ
