The Nominating Committee needs your assistance in preparing a proposed slate of Chapter officers and

directors for the 2015-2016 term. Paulette Scultz and Carmella Heckard are available to answer your

questions or take your application for a board or committee position. Deadline to submit your ballot is June

12.

Leadership Conference and Annual Meeting (LCAM) registration is now open. Please plan to join Carmella

Heckard and me in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 23-26 to IGNITE your passion for professional

development, ENGAGE in networking opportunities, and help the Tulsa community THRIVE.

Once again our Chapter is offering an LCAM grant of $1,500 to a qualified applicant(s) to use towards the

2015 Leadership Conference and Annual Meeting (LCAM) expenses. I encourage every representative who

plans to attend LCAM to apply for the grant. Deadline to apply is June 19.

The 2015 Spring Conference “Leadership by the Lake – Spread Your Wings & Mind” in Milwaukee was very

informational. Christine Healy, Tara Ely, Maggie Fulton and I enjoyed a day and a half packed with powerful

keynote speakers, a timely and compelling panel discussion regarding adult literacy and an EWI Academy of

Leadership course – Leadership: It All Begins with You.

As Robin Williams once said - Spring is nature’s way of saying “Let’s party!”
