Project Plan:

• Develop a community hall, accessible to all members of the community

• Access to fresh water, via rain water• Reliable supply for electricity

Community Hall:

• Reasons for community call:– Large meeting place for everyone to use, as well

as for large gatherings and functions.– Reliable supply of electricity for when power

blacks out. – Reliable and clean water supply for community

Land Requirements:

• Needs to be enough space for tank, community hall.

• Needs to be in an easy and well accessible location for all members of the community to utilise.

Materials:

• Mud Walls• Tin roofing• Stone, Cement• Research natural building supplied- e.g timber• Gutter – able to cope with monsoonal

conditions.• Water tank - tin and mud structure

Tank/ Water Collection

• Large tank to supply communities fresh drinking water

• Geometric shape – circular, reduces stress points in structure.

• Tin, reinforced with mud walls – needs to be able to cope with the high amounts of pressure, due to its size.

Education

• Maintenance• Safe practices– Hygiene

Electrical Supply:

• Availability of resources, e.g. Diesel.• Maintenance issues

Future Prospects

• Community toilet facility
