There is only a flange on the other side of the vent. So all that is seen from that side of the

installation is the ridge cap. Like there was no vent at all.

You can’t over nail the flange.

In fact you don’t nail the flange.

Unless you want to.

Why does the product have a flange?1. The flange is a safety feature.

In the event there is a cap failure the flange will help protect the home.

2. The flange may cover the slot opening from a prior ridge vent application.

The vent side looks just like any standard application.

Having a flange on one side solves several aesthetic problems.

2. If the product is not run the full length of the ridge it is not as aesthetically detrimental as typical ridge vents.

3. This also means that it doesn’t always need to be cut into a junction point because the vent installation only impacts one side of the ridge.
