    Let your ideas come alive with our marketing event PRACHAR, a brainchild of TIMSR.

    PRACHAR would give you an excellent platform to hone your marketing skills. As a team you would be given a

    product to promote using your creative promotional strategies. But this is not all; there are loads of surprises in

    store for you, to tickle your grey-cells.

    This surely must have increased your excitement to be a part of this fun-filled event. So, get ready & put on your

    thinking caps for participating and applying your marketing at PRACHAR.

    General Rules for Participation:

    Teams should comprise of 8 members and not less than that. All the teams will have to follow all the guidelines given to them strictly failing to which can lead to

    disqualification.

    Product once chosen wouldnt be allowed to change. Any Videos if used should be authentic. The language of communication should be either Hindi or English during promotion. However, local language

    can be incorporated.

    The teams would be judged on the basis of their campaign, marketing strategies and over all presentation oftheir product.

    The Event flow:

    1. Registration Ends: 10:00 pm, 6th October, 20112. Submission and Product Launch: 7th/8th October, 20113. Rally on campus 13th October, 20114. Final Event on campus 13th October, 2011:

    LOK-VRUTI - Empowering the Society

    Description:

    In todays world many small business entrepreneurs are heading for ideas which involve entrepreneurship with

    social cause. Social entrepreneur is someone who recognizes a social problem and uses entrepreneurial principles

    to organize, create, and manage a venture to make social change (a social venture). Whereas a business

    entrepreneur typically measures performance in profit and return, a social entrepreneur focuses on creating

    social capital. These business owners are more focused and passionate about development of society.

    Candidates have to develop a social business plan. This will be a fantastic experience for students to develop

    themselves for social cause.

    Commodity Guru - Dare to Speculate

    Description:

    Moving a step ahead of the conventional mock stock, dare to take a plunge into a whole new world of commodity

    trading. The focal point being, the trading of agro and bullion commodities.

    So start thinking from the point where your thoughts come to a halt, coz thats where COMMODITY GURU

    begins.Come, dare, experience and speculate like never before

    General Rules for Participation:

    Each team should compromise of maximum 3 and minimum 2 members. All team members should be from the same B-School. All team members have to be present for the entire event. Participants cannot be a part of more than 1 team for the same event. In case of more than 2 teams from the same college/institute a Pre-Elimination Round will be conducted if

    required.

    Each team will be given a limited capital for the event within which the team should be able to maintain themargin for all BUY/SELL orders.

    The decision of the organizing team would be final and all teams should abide by them.

    IPO Chase - WantMoolah, Lets Go Public...

    Description:

    Stocks are part of everyones life. Lets move a step ahead to it i.e. the process of raising funds. Introducing for

    the first time in TIMSR, IPO CHASE.

    Participants would play the dual role of being the Company coming up with IPO and that of an Investment Banker

    to the issue.

    In keeping with the sweeping change in the world of management, where the need for accountable and ethical

    manager is being felt more than the need for over ambitious and aggressive managers, you need to have

    Analytical ability, flexibility in thinking, sound decision making capability.

    With your abilities you can either be a wealth creator like Coal India or have a fate like R Power.

    Participants will have to select a sector & come up with an Initial Public Offering (IPO) creating their own Private

    Limited Company along with minimum 3 Years of existence. They will be required to elaborate the reasons for

    introducing IPO & also play the role of Investment banker designing & handling the entire issue.

    LET THE CHASE BEGIN!!!

    Rounds:

    Round 1: The teams will be required to prepare a synopsis & carry out the promotion (video, pamphlet etc.) of

    their IPO.

    Round 2: Teams will be required to make a presentation & subscription by the QIBs will take place.

    Students from all B-schools are eligible to participate in the event.

    Team:

    Each team must comprise of maximum 5 members. Team members need to be from the same B-school. There is no limit on the number of entries per university/college. A participant cannot be a part of more than one team. Entire team has to be present for the entire event

    IPO, The Finance event of evoke where the participants will be exposed to different concepts of finance. The

    basic premise of IPO is that participants will have to select a sector & come up with an Initial Public Offering (IPO).

    They have to create their own Private Limited Company with minimum 3 Years of its existence.

    They will be required to elaborate the difference reasons of raising the money through IPO.Teams will be required to submit their synopsis on or before Saturday October 9, 2011

    - P & L A/c as well as Balance Sheet8. Corporate Governance9. Promoters Profile10.Shareholding pattern11.Purpose of raising money via IPO12.Utilization of funds and future financial projections of the company (For the next 3 years)13.Peer Analysis/Comparison

    The 3 games include Raftaar, Ekatva and Rang Manch. All the teams have to go through all the 3 games and the

    winners will be declared at the end for each game individually.
