Everyday I come to school, I learn.
Most days, I learn in my classroom
with my teacher and friends.
Welcome to class boys and girls!
Some days, I get to learn in other rooms.
I learn about art, PE, and music.
Other days, I get to learn in the media center.
But on special days, I get to learn with the entire school. This is
called an assembly.
In an assembly, I get to learn about lots of different things. It is fun to
learn in an assembly.
But sometimes, it is hard for me to concentrate during an assembly. I
can only focus and learn when others are quiet.
Hey, what are you going to
do after school?
Shh! I can’t hear the speaker
Sometimes, my friends try to distract me.
I learn best when others keep their bodies to themselves.
Please keep your
tail to yourself!
When I am learning in an assembly, I sit on my bottom so that others can see behind me. I keep my hands in my lap. I try to
help my friends learn too.
When I am learning in an assembly, I know I have to keep
my eyes on the speaker. I do not want to miss anything they may
say or do.
I always want to show respect to the speaker. I do this by looking
and listening to the speaker. I might learn something new!
I show thanks to the speaker by clapping my hands at the end of the presentation. I want to show them I am a kind and responsible
audience member.
I am so lucky that I get to learn in so many ways. I like learning in
my classroom.
Wow, isn’t learning
fun?
I like learning in art, PE, and music too.
But I like learning in assemblies most of all!
