Claris ULTRA with its new waterfiltration and conditioning technology isthe world’s first filter system toeffectively combine hardness reduction,mineral stabilization and corrosioninhibition by maintaining a controlledlow carbonic acid level in the water.

As a result, Everpure Claris ULTRAdelivers the best available water qualityfor hot drinks and ice machines whilepreventing scale formation in machinesand inhibiting metal migration(corrosion) of machine parts across thewidest range of water hardness levels. Water hardness and temporaryhardness (alkalinity) - the lime scale

forming part of the total waterhardness - have the highest share oftotal minerals in most commonlyavailable potable water.

That’s why softening filter cartridgesare widely used in the foodserviceindustry.

Because healthy and good tastingwater requires a specific and balancedmineral composition, softening filtersystems should be equipped with anadjustable blending device to adjust thewater mineral hardness to therequirement of the application.

BALANCED ALKALINITY FOR BESTCOFFEE FLAVOUR, PERFECT CREMAAND CLEAR ICE For speciality coffee, it is important tomaintain some specific minerals and tobalance the alkalinity level in the wateras this enhances the coffee flavour andaids proper extraction of the coffeebean and grind.

Furthermore, an unbalanced level ofalkalinity can lead to a superficialacidity, which provides poor crema onespresso or encapsulated flavour ofdrinks.

Too little or too much calcium ormagnesium will have an impact on thedrinks quality and lead to lime scalebuild-up in machines.
