Convenience is one of Evermore’s greatest advantages, with a direct route to downtown Atlanta without getting on a highway, and access to Hartsfield-Jackson Airport without going through downtown. Evermore’s Highway 78 is completing a $60 million “extreme makeover” that includes widening the street to six lanes and adding dynamic signal modifications, landscaped medians and monument signage. THE EVERMORE COMMUnITy BEGInS AT the foot of Stone Mountain Park, home of the world’s largest piece of exposed granite. Featuring a variety of attractions and entertainment, the State park offers golfing, family attractions, special events and festivals, and camping and fishing. Stone Mountain is just of many recreational and outdoor resources in the area. Georgia has 262 public golf courses as well as the largest amateur tennis organization in the country. The state’s natural resources range from the mountains of north Georgia to the shores of southeast Georgia. Atlanta has four professional sports teams – football, basketball, baseball and hockey. The Masters is one of golf’s premier events, and Atlanta regularly hosts stellar events including the Super Bowl, nCAA Final Four, regional college football and basketball tournaments and major auto races. Cultural enthusiasts have much to choose from, including two resident ballet companies, a symphony orchestra that has won more GRAMMys than any other in the nation, art museums, theater groups and an opera company. In Gwinnett, the local new London Theatre offers high quality community performances in a renovated movie theater. And the Gwinnett Ballet offers both education and performances.
