Aspire . Believe . Challenge
It is hard to believe we are approaching mid term 2.
This terms has already been full of exciting activities for the stu-
dents and we look forward to much more. This is always a busy
term with sport and academic expectations.
This term we continue on our journey to develop consistency of
practice . Students are responding well to our highly structured
learning environments and are able to explain their learning to
everyone that enters their room. Feel free to come and visit our
classrooms and share your child’s learning.
Library lessons are a big hit with students complaining that this is
not a weekly event. Mrs Staines is working hard to modernise
our learning space. Thank you.
I would like to thank the parents who continue to volunteer their
time. The students love seeing you in the school. We are loving
our gardens and additional hands in the school.
Do it for Dolly Day has organised by the P&C and supported by
the school has been a wonderful initiative. We thank you.
NAPLAN has been completed, we only had a couple of students
stressed about it this year. Well done everyone for keeping this
low key. This is the first time in a very long time that Monto
State School has actively encouraged every student to partici-
pate. Last time we only had approximately 73%. Well done fam-
ilies. We thank you.
Please keep the recycling coming every item helps reduce camp
costs.
We continue to support the various learning journeys of our fami-
lies and continue to be proud to have two TAFE students volun-
teering their time at our beautiful school. Helping our community
grow is important to us. We are hoping to have a student teach-
er next term.
We are always looking for volunteers at the school so if you have
a few spare moments please come and give us a hand. Your chil-
dren would love to see you at school.

Recycling Our students will be recycling cans again this year as fundraising for school camps. If you would like to do-nate your cans to the school they can be dropped in or left in the marked bins outside the gate. Absences Please remember to notify the school if your child/children are going to be absent from school. You can do this by either phoning or emailing the office or enter-ing the absence via the Qparents app. We appreciate your cooperation
