WALMER GOLF CLUB ATTACHMENT 1

AMENDMENT TO CONSTITUTION

This point on the AGM Agenda is being raised to amend the present Constitution by the amendment of the following paragraphs to bring the Constitution in line with the current Procedures & Structures of the Walmer Golf Club:

CLAUSE 6.8 Currently: “to make payment towards medical aid of any employee and ex-employee and to

grant pensions, allowances and ex gratia payments.” Proposal: to amend by deleting the words “and ex-employee” CLAUSE 15.3.7 Currently: “to appoint a manager and other employees * of the club upon such terms and

conditions and salaries as it thinks fit and control all such employees” Proposal: to amend by inserting the words “independent contractors or consultants” after

the word employees CLAUSE 18.4 Currently: “The club may at a Special General Meeting remove * any committee member

before the expiry of the term,…” Proposal: to amend by inserting the words “for any reason” after the word “remove”

PLEASE READ AS THIS IS IMPORTANT How you should fill the names in on the scorecard: Individual Competition: 1. Put your name in “Player C” position 2. Put the player you are marking in “Player A” position. 3. Put handicap index and handicap in the designated areas on the scorecard. 4. Mark which tees the players are going off. 5. Only the player in “Player C” position, THE MARKER, needs to sign the card. Team Competitions: 1. Place your name in the “Player C” position and your partners name in the

“Player D” position 2. Place your 2 opponents in the “Player A” and “Player B” positions. 3. Put handicap index and handicap in the designated areas on the scorecard. 4. Mark which tees the players are going off. 5. Only “Player C”, the MARKER signs the card. When the scorecards are tallied, only the score for the “Player A” in Individual competitions and “Player A and Player B” in team competitions, are looked at. If your scorecard is not filled out in this manner, you will miss out on a prize.
