16.1 Abnormal Course Conditions (Including Immovable Obstructions)

a. When Relief Is Allowed(1) Meaning of Interference by Abnormal Course Condition. Interference exists when any one of these is true:•The player’s ball touches or is in or on an abnormal course condition,•An abnormal course condition physically interferes with the player’s area of intended stance or area of intended swing, or•Only when the ball is on the putting green, an abnormal course condition on or off the putting green intervenes on the line of play.

If the abnormal course condition is close enough to distract the player but does not meet any of these requirements, there is no interference under this Rule.

This rule pertains to the Beacon on the 3rd/12th hole and the Monument on the 5th/14th Hole. If these structures are not interfering with your intended stance or swing, NO FREE RELIEF is given. NO FREE RELIEF for line of sight interfer-ence.

Rule regarding Ball Lifters.

If the ball strikes the ball lifter and does not enter the hole, the putt is NOT con-sidered holed and the player must putt the ball into the hole, counting that addi-tional stroke.

If the putt is deflected by the ball lifter and does not enter the hole, then the putt is NOT considered holed.

NOTE: Treating a ball as “holed” when it has bounced out of a hole (eg: when it has bounced off the flagstick, a tray attached to a flagstick or the hole liner) is not in accordance with the Covid-19 Rules of Golf.

Installing Clubmaster1. Go to the Google Play Store or App Store. 2. Search for “clubmaster” and click on Clubmaster Members Portal.

3. Install and open the App, it should look like the image to the right.4. Click on the menu icon (three lines) in the top left hand corner and click ”Get “Password”.5. Click on the dropdown below “Select Golf Club”, scroll down and select Walmer Golf Club. In the Username Slot, enter your ID number and click “Send Me My Password”

6. Your password will be sent to the email address you currently have registered with the club. The email will contain your username and password.7. Go back to the main page and once again click the menu icon (three lines) in the top left hand corner and this time click on “Link Your Club Portal”.

8. Click on the dropdown below “Select Golf Club”, scroll down and select Walmer Golf Club. Enter your username, being your ID number, and the password received via email. Click Register and you should receive a message confirming the successful registration. You will now be able to access online bookings and view your club accounts.
