Plantation Day

First event in Bs program was plantation day celebrated by first batch of Bs students and diploma batchstudents. On 15thFeb. 2012 it was world plantation day and first time in LUMHS it was celebrated. Inthisevent Director Muhammad Ali Bohyo, all faculty members and Deputy Controller of Examination Mr.IqbalMemon joined us. International Multi Topic Conference 2013

Third International Multi Topic Conference IMTC- 2013 was held at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. IMTIC 13 was jointly organized by MUET Jamshoro and Erasmus Munds Strong Ties Program. It was an international forum for researchers to exchange information regarding novel aspects of technology, application and service development within the multi disciplinary fields of Information and Communication Technologies. The event was inaugurated by the Education Minister of Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuhro.

3rd Lumhs Youth Conference (The Winners Within):

Pakistan’s youth has the potential to be creative and innovative. They are charged with enthusiasm and determination, which needs a sense of mobility channelized in the right direction. To unlearn the learned and to explore the unexplored, we aspire to ignite the spark of youngsters with a flicker that can turn into an inferno. Enlightening participant’s heart, we intend to blow-up a flash of restlessness that has power to rekindle spirits within the circles of one’s influence. This is something we term as the spirit of the 3rd LYC in LUMHS. We come up with an intention to direct the energy to serve, to accomplish personal, professional career goals and to serve communities and forth.

Dr. Adnan Ashraf, assistant professor at MUET is the PhD holder from Mehran University. He isthe Foundation member of UNIFIED CREST-Research Group whose activities include conducting andguiding graduate and postgraduate level research in EST (Engineering, Science and Technology). A numberof Publications in numerous Journal (international) is the evident of his massive experience in this field.Dr. Adnan Ashraf outstrip in whatever he does. His few of the Accolades also includes standing ovation atmultiple leading educational institutes. Some of the renown organization to which he belongs as theprofessional member are UNIFIED CREST, IEEE, MUET & Pakistan Engineering Council.

Dr. Aatir Hanif Rajput, is the Managing Director at LUMHS Research Forum, Regional Coordinator(Hyderabad) at Pakistan Medical Students Research Society, Ambassador of Pakistan Society of Psycho-Physiology, Senior Research Associate at Advanced Educational Institute & Research Center (Karachi) andScientific Reviewer at International Journal of Medical Students. He is admittedly supervising over 35research projects at Liaquat University and Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University.


Pre-Symposium Workshop on Research Fundamentals

5th,On march Event was started with the Recitation of Holy Quran. Mr. Muhammad Shariq Khan wasperforming as the Host of this event. After the National Anthem First session was started By Dr. AatirHanif Rajput.

Session 1:First session was conducted by Dr. Aatir Hanif Rajput. He talked

upon the basics of research. During his sessions he covers the topic like Howto start research ? How to select a topic ? He also describe Persuasive writingDescriptive writing. His interactive session also include description onParaphrasing and Academic writing.

Session 2:Dr. Adnan Ashraf start his session with the topic “Patent

development & Monetization”. He also discuss when to pentene yourideas. He tells that a patent won't keep others from "Stealing" your idea,but it does provide some legal leverage for going after someone whoinfringes. That said, one key thing to remember. He sais “ A patent is onlyas good as your pockets are deep”. It's an unfortunate part of the legalaspects of patents specifically, and intellectual property generally.

Hi- Tea:In order to create an interactive environment & to refresh

student’s mind. Hi-Tea was presented to the students.

Session 3:Topic for this session was “MED CHAT”. A real time activity on article designing. Sir Adnan

Ashraf involve students in different activities. A friendly and learning environment it was!!.

Concluding this workshop, Shield and traditional gift Distribution ceremony was held.Director IBT LUMHS, Mr. Muhammad Ali Bohyo presented the Shield and Ajrak to the worthy vicechancellor LUMHS and Receive the shield of honor by vice chancellor.

In the last the efforts were praised by Director Pro vice chancellor. He said “It was really a Admirablestep by Institute of Biomedical Engineering Technology we always here to Help in every step and topromote this department. ”
