Travel and Events Engagement Every six months, our meetings and events specialists run an educational networking event, showcasing different venues across our capital whilst introducing new event technologies and ideas. Overview On 05 November we took 18 of our meetings and events customers on a tour of London, visiting five hotels and venues across the city. Our day started at The Berkeley, where we were treated to breakfast and a tour of the hotel and their facilities. Here we introduced our team building partner ChilliSauce, who ran a short GPS activity within the vicinity of the hotel. We then jumped on our coach who drove us to The Atheneaum. Here we were treated to a three-course meal and an overview of the hotel and their sister properties. ChilliSauce then revealed the winning team of the team building challenge. Our third stop of the tour was Cahoots, part of the Inception Group. This was a great opportunity to see an unusual venue with a creative space where Lucy Cacchio, our creative events manager, discussed event theming, showcasing different options we have provided in past events. We then moved on to Voltaire Bars, who are part of the Crowne Plaza London The City Hotel. We used this as another team building opportunity where the venue hosted a cocktail making session. After tasting the delights of the cocktails we made our final stop at the HMS Belfast, part of the Lime Venue Portfolio, where we were treated to live entertainment from singers The Femmes to close the event. Outcome The event was deemed as a major success with record number attendees joining us on the day. For the social butterflies we used the hash tag #EventDirectorsDay so we could follow their journey and the different experiences from the day.
