One of the unspoken fears of successful people is to lose everything: reputation, wealth, work, family and friends. Jonathan Aitken’s political career came to a crashing end when he lied on oath in a libel action and served a seven month prison sentence in 1999. Not only did he lose his reputation, work and family but there was little public sympathy for a politician who was getting what he deserved.

In this open and candid talk Jonathan will share the lessons he’s learned from his very public fall from power. We’ll hear about his experience in prison and how it profoundly changed him as he discovered the forgiveness of God and the reality of a fresh start in life.

Managing any company in an economic downtown is tough but when your business is high priced luxury items you have to fear the worst. So how has Boodles managed to buck the trend and report a turnover of £48.1m and pre-tax profits of £6.2m in Feb 2012? Jeremy Marshall, the current Chief Executive Officer, joined C. At any given time in the UK, one in five people feels unusually tired, and one in 10 have prolonged fatigue. A lack of sleep is one of the biggest health concerns for nearly half the population.




Topping the list of 2,000 people in the recently published study “Who Is Bigger?” Jesus Christ continues to inspire, intrigue and infuriate people across the world. Writer and scholar C.S Lewis once said: “Christianity is a statement which, if false, is of no importance, and, if true, of infinite importance. The one thing it cannot be is moderately important.” Yet many people in the UK today would say Christianity isn’t even moderately important to them, it’s just irrelevant.

In this lunchtime talk, Rico Tice will offer some reasons why Christianity makes sense of who we are and what we do.

In his new book “Was The Tomb Empty?” Graeme Smith, a highly experienced lawyer, examines the evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Assessing secular evidence, historical sources, and the testimony of those involved Graeme carefully and critically analyses the various resurrection accounts, their inconsistencies and their value as evidence.
