FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THESE EVENTS, VISIT CLARKE.EDU/ARTSATCLARKE.

An omniscient narrator invites the audience to listen to the dreams and innermost thoughts of the inhabitants of the fictional small Welsh fishing village Llareggub. They include Mrs. Ogmore-Pritchard, relentlessly nagging her two dead husbands; Captain Cat, reliving his seafaring times; Organ Morgan, obsessed with his music; and Polly Garter, pining for her dead lover. Later, the town awakens and, aware now of how their feelings affect whatever they do, we watch them go about their daily business. This production will be directed by Carol Blitgen, BVM, Professor Emeritus.

Features Joe Scott on acoustic guitar and vocals and Hannah Elkire on cello and vocals. Scott and Elkire are from Colorado and have graced stages throughout the U.S., Europe, Australia and Canada. The original sound of Acoustic Eidolon is created by the mixing of their diverse musical backgrounds and their unusual instrumentation, including the one-of-a-kind double neck guitjo. This event is sponsored by the Dubuque Arts Council and supported by the Arts Midwest Touring Fund, a program of Arts Midwest that is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional contributions from Iowa Arts Council and the Crane Group.
