Evelyn “Alice” Palmer Alice Palmer died peacefully at her home in Brush Prairie with her husband and daughter by her side. She fought her illness for 1-1/2 years. She was born in Lyford, TX, to Floyd and Marie Bechtel December 31, 1933. She married Arthur Palmer on August 31, 1952. They were high school sweethearts and were married nearly 62 years, living most of those years at their Brush Prairie home. She work many years as a CNA with 27 of those years at Kaiser Permanente. They were both active in the Yacolt Burn Sportsmen’s Club and years ago the Mt. St. Helens Track Riders Club. She belonged to Meadow Glade SDA Church. She is survived by her husband Art, and daughters Alma (Neil) Richwine and Ann Palmer. She loved all of her 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, seven special brother and sister-in-laws and her loyal dog Toby, who remained at her side to the very end. Graveside services will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014, with a Celebration of Life and potluck at 3 p.m. at their Brush Prairie home.
