Charging Stations Electric Vehicles
2
EV-‐Box has developed a publicly accessible vehicle
charging station, which can be placed in public spaces,
containing a master switch and a compartment for the
grid administrator in the lower section of the box, which
can be sealed separately. The grid administrator box has
an IP67 rating, which meets all requirements and safety
instructions as prescribed by the main supplier’s grid
administrators. The charging station has two charging
points (Type 2), a RFID reader, a Mode 3 controller, a
GPS position indicator and a GSM communication
module. Each charging point has been fused separately.
This allows all other functions and the other charging
point to keep functioning normally in case of user error.
Through the BackOffice application, the charge column
can be managed and access
security as well as
transaction history, can be
checked via the web
interface. The
administrator can
independently determine
rates and publish them via Google Maps. Individual users
and user-‐groups can be created. The invoicing is carried
out fully automatically by means of issuing an electronic
invoice, a direct debit payment, or via real time payment.
The BackOffice also offers the possibility to roam with
other providers and have the charge column published in
the “NavTeq” and “Tom-‐Tom” databases. The BackOffice
also features a link to the "CIR" (Central Interoperability
Register) so that you can be fully inter-‐operable with
other affiliated providers. As such, EV Box offers a full
functionality, optimal safety
and an excellent service
through a nation-‐wide network
of Service Dealers. The
charging capacity of the
charging column is up to 22 kW
per charge point. The charging
column meets the latest IEC 61851 standards, has a CE
Certificate and is tested and approved for all different
makes of cars. Users can activate a charging column
using a charge pass or their mobile phone. The Mode 3
controller handles the communication with the vehicle.
During charging, the plug in the socket will be locked.
Once the charging session is completed, the transaction
information is sent to the BackOffice. The EV charging
station is highly suitable to be placed within
municipalities in publicly accessible and heavily
frequented public spaces. The charging column is
available in any RAL colour and can be fitted with
customised/corporate logos and advertising.
EV-‐Box Charging Column The EV-‐Box Charging Column comes with two charging points made from high quality stainless steel and is powder coated. There is room for a grid facility box in the lower compartment.

The EV-‐Box Charg ing S tat ions have a contemporary appearance and can be used in pub l i c spaces as wel l as on pr ivate property and i s su i tab le for indoor and outdoor use . The hous ing i s made of Bay-‐B lend (Po lycarbonate) and i s ent i re ly manufactured in The Nether lands .
The EV-‐Box housing is (stock-‐standard) available in seven base colours. This allows the charging station to, either conspicuously or inconspicuously, be fully integrated into its surroundings. The housing is made of “Bay-‐Blend” in collaboration with Bayer. The material is colourfast, impact resistant and fireproof. It can be said that it is a unique and revolutionary product in its design, applied technology and security features. It could be argued that the product is unique and revolutionary with regard to its design, shape and safety features. It is designed with the latest state-‐of-‐the art technology, nevertheless extremely user-‐friendly. Through the coloured LED-‐ring, the charging status is communicated to the user. This makes the charging station’s operation simple and easy.
The EV-‐Box pole model has two charging points and is available in different configurations. The model is designed so that it can be mounted on a standard traffic-‐sign pole. This is very practical. In case of a collision, it will (in most cases) be sufficient to just replace the pole. A curved stainless steel bracket model is available, especially for mounting on the walls in, for example, public or private parking garages.
Depending on the selected type, a pole model provides a maximum charging load of up to 11kW per chargepoint. It meets the latest IEC 61851 Standards, has a CE Certification and has been tested and approved for all different makes of cars.
Users can activate the charging point with their charge pass, mobile phone, a push-‐button or key device. The Mode 3 controller handles the communication with the vehicle. During charging, the plug in the socket is locked. Upon the completion of the charge-‐ session, the transaction’s data are sent to the BackOffice (optional). The EV-‐Box is a modular product. This allows the owner to start off with an entry-‐ level (basic) model, which can be upgraded to a different outlet and, for example, be fitted with a Mode3 controller, GSM communication module or different payment options, at a later stage. The EV-‐Box pole model is ideally suited for companies and individuals who own private property or manage publicly accessible spaces, and can be situated both inside and outside premises. Through the BackOffice it is possible to promote the Charging Station, using Google Maps, “Tom-‐Tom” and “NavTeq”. The BackOffice features a link to the "CIR" (Central Interoperability Register) and is therefore, fully inter-‐operable with other affiliated service providers.

EV-‐Box wal l models are suitable both for indoor and outdoor use. The ' l i te ' vers ion comes with a charging cable and p lug. The a luminium back p late wi l l enable you to mount the wal l models on any surface. The housing is impact-‐res istant , co lour-‐res istant and non-‐combust ib le .
The EV-‐Box wall model is actually a half pole model. It has
the same unique features and has one charging point.

Registration Form You can register as a company or as a private individual to have access to the
BackOffice. After all data have been fully completed and entered correctly, you
will receive confirmation of your formal registration by email. Your account will
be activated within a few days. Depending on the chosen recording system,
different rights and privileges can be granted. We differentiate between: "Card
Providers”; “Base Station Operators”; and “Charge Pass Owners”. Within each of
these broader categories, managers’ and user-‐groups can be established.
Once your registration has been approved you can log-‐in via the link on our
Website http://www.ev-‐box.net or via the menu ‘chargened’ on our homepage
http://www.ev-‐box.com. After successful login, you can access all the menus
and options.
User information and Charge-‐Cards
You can use or change personal information, passwords, et cetera, at any time.
Also, the charge-‐cards that allow access to a Charging Station can be changed,
managed or blocked. If you have any questions, a form is available on which
further concerns/comments/suggestions can be communicated to us. We will
answer your inquiries as soon as possible, by responding via email or by
telephone. You will receive all your invoices and statements automatically and
electronically via email, which also can be viewed on-‐line.
Transaction data from different Charging Stations
As the owner of a Base-‐Station, you can determine which status and transaction
data from the charger you wish to receive, by selecting between various
reporting alternatives. You will be able to create your own user-‐groups, develop
your own invoicing and establish automated funds transfer systems.
Fees and Management of Charging Stations
You will be able to set your own charging fees/tariff structure for each specific
Charging Station and/or customer-‐group. This can be applied via the completion
of a date/time pathway. The specific fields that you will need to complete
comprise: a starting rate; a kWh rate; the rate per minute; different rates for
different days of the week; and differential rates between specific hours of the
day/night. Alternatively, you will be able to make the charging process
interactive by linking it to the “CIR” (Central Interoperability Register).
