Evansdale Community Days are back for 2017 and the entire weekend will be packed with fun for adults and

kids of all ages.

Faas.

The timeline of events is:

Friday, July 28

6:30 Pm to 11 PM—FREE!! Fireman’s Dance at the Community Response Center with fireworks at dusk.

Food and Beverages will be available for purchase

Saturday, July 29

9:30 AM-Parade—The theme for this year’s parade is “Fun & Games”. If you would like to participate, the link to the entry application is listed below. Parade Route--Line-up on Central east of Evans, then Central to Roosevelt, Roosevelt to Lafayette, Lafayette to Evans, Evans to Central. Breakfast for purchase will be available at St. Marks Church and lunch for purchase will be available at Amvets.

11 AM to 4 PM—FREE!! Children and Family activities at the Lafayette Road Business Area—The FREE events will include balloon art, face painting, a caricature artist, a strolling magician/juggler , a petting zoo, bean bag contest with prizes, and more! Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

11 AM to ?—Mud Volleyball located near the Community Response Center

2 PM—Kid’s Parade on Lafayette Road sponsored by Ted’s Home Hardware. Contact Ted or the gang for entry details.

All Day—Ted’s Home Hardware is sponsoring his annual BBQ cook off in the parking lot of his business, and judging will be at 3:30.

Sunday, July 30

8 to 11 AM—Buffet breakfast for purchase—Amvets

11:30 AM—Community Musical Praise Event at Meyers Lake Shelter

12:15 PM to 1:30 PM—Fun Run, starting at Meyers Lake parking lot, sponsored by Boys and Girls Club

1:30 PM to 2:30 PM—Evansdale Fire Department Kids H2O fights at the Community Response Center

1:30 PM to 2:30 PM—Registration for Men/Women H2O fights at the Community Response Center

2:30 PM—Men’s and Women’s H2O fights at the Community Response Center

Food and beverages for purchase will be available at the Community Response Center starting at 1 PM.

Color Fun Run Sunday, July 30th, 2017 Check In 11:45-12:10 Start 12:15pm Race Location: Start at Meyer’s Lake Shelter End at the CRC

Directions: Participants will head west around the lake crossing Arbutus St., turn left on Gilbert Dr. and end at Fire Station. Path will be marked and color burst stations will be spread throughout.

Proceeds: Benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Evansdale a branch of the Cedar Valley Clubs.

Entry Cost: $20 for adults, $10 for kids includes a white t-shirt for color bursts
