What have you learnt about technologies form the process of 

constructing this product?

Equipment When I was taking my photos for my magazine, I used the ipad 2.

This was the quickest way to take and upload the photos onto my computer so that they could be edited and be transformed into a realistic hip-hop magazine front cover. The only problems that I had with the ipad, was that I had to ensure that the adapter was present at all times, there was a situation where I had taken the photos and was ready to upload, but I did not have the adapter. Now I am more organised to ensure that I do not have these problems again as they can be time consuming.

Editing the photos

After taking lots of photos and deciding which ones I was going to use for my magazine, I used the adapter to upload the photos onto a computer. I then uploaded the ones that I liked best to the editing tools online. After I had developed my photos to the extent where I was happy, I finally started to create my hip hop magazine called ‘Renegade’. I only used colour themes that I thought would be appropriate for my genre of music, so I looked at some other hip-hop music magazines such as ‘XXL’ & ‘Vibe’ and based my colour themes around the ones that I liked the best and thought would be most appealing to my audience.

Equipment

I also used a Dell Laptop in order to edit my photos online at home, and I used the school computers whenever I was editing in my free time at school. I did so by using online photo editing sites called ‘Picmonkey’ and ‘Pixlr’. These were good sites to use because they enabled me to edit photos exactly how I wanted them so that they would fit with the house-style of my magazine. On these sites, I was able to add text to the front cover and I did not have to use any other editing tools to complete the cover itself, and I was able to save the photos to my computer without many problems and efficiently create my magazine.
