Question 4 Total film review almost all types of films ranging from big budget films such as inception to smaller independent films. With such a large span of reviews our film would fit right in to their magazine. With our budget being around $15,000,000 this sits right in with one of the most successful films of 2011, drive, drive did extremely well for such a small budget film and I can definitely see our film doing just as well with the same budget. Total film tend to focus on the big budget films for their covers however after looking through them they do cover very well the smaller budget films and I see this as a positive as our film will still get noticed. Also with such a variety of film reviews we are able to get noticed by more people than if we were to go with a specific type of film magazine. This magazine will also help us as it targets the type of people who are film enthusiasts as well as casual readers. This also will greatly help us getting our film out into the public. This publication has a very wide audience and tends to focus on the main big budget film of that month for the cover; this isn’t a problem for our film, as even a slight mention in such a large magazine will help our film get out there. Review:

If you go and see this film expecting the obvious story where a man comes into some difficulty and then ends up saving the day then we have to stop you right there.

This film starts of very strangely with weird music playing throughout the opening scene, within the first few seconds you meet the main character. The music playing throughout the opening scene is somewhat confusing, as they do not fit together with the scene itself. But this will soon be explained further on in the film, as things start to change.

The contrast between the character, what he does and the music really gives a strange feel to this film, (spoiler) the opening scene turns out to be further on in the film. The first scene after the opening shows a man trying to find a job as he has just been made redundant from his previous job, this man doesn’t have a lot

of money and is shown by him wearing the same suit and shoes throughout the whole film.

The character played by chris abbott has mixed emotions but never shows them as he finds it hard to do, however if something threatens him you will see a different side to this character and how he came across initially. Unlike most films there is no one for him to protect or defend, it is just him and his dirty vans’ shoes.

The film takes a sudden turn halfway through when the character leaves a job interview and is knocked over by somebody and later finds a letter in his back pocket.
