Orphan (2009)Our film conforms to the scary child look, as we have used a creepy-looking girl waiting at the top of a slide.

A park is supposed to be a fun place, and children are supposed to be protected and innocent, and this flips it on its side.

Orphan (2009)Both films have used the main antagonist putting tension in a place of happiness and fun.

This matches our Thriller opening, because we have a child that doesn’t look sociable or friendly on a swing.

Paranormal Activity 2 (2010)Paranormal Activity 2 is relevant to our opening

sequence because the plot is about a ghost who is trying

to possess a little boy.

It is about a happy family with two

children: a teenage girl and small boy.

The Children (2008)Our thriller uses the idea of young venerable children

playing with their family just as the film ‘The Children’

does.

The Children (2008)The audience can see the little girl watching the other people in the scene, just as the little boy in ‘The Children’ watches the people in the scene he is in.

SAW (2004)Both ‘SAW’ and our film ‘The Playground’ use video effects that make the footage seem like it was shot on little home cameras.

The Last Exorcism Part II (2013)The titles in both our

film and ‘The Last Exorcism Part II’

featured fairly basic fonts.

It may have been nice to have used a more elegant

font however we believed it fitted the genre.
