Technology

In terms of technology, I believe I have came quite a long way. Before, I had never used programs such as Photoshop and InDesign before, so I was a beginner when I was completing my preliminary task. I think my skills have increased a lot since then, as I have been able to experiment with the different tools, meaning when it came around to the main task, I was better equipped to create a better quality magazine. For example, I am now better accustomed to the effects in Adobe Photoshop to better edit my images to create the effect I am going for. Also, InDesign was a valuable tool and helped me make my magazine look professional and well made.

Industry

Since starting AS Media studies, my knowledge of the magazine industry has grown substantially. I was a frequent buyer of different music magazines before, but I never knew much about the marketing and how a magazine is put together. Over the past few months, I have learned that everything within a magazine has it's purpose and overall goes to draw in a certain target audience. This knowledge meant I could create a better magazine the second time around.
