What have you learnt about technologies

from the process of constructing this product?

I have learnt a lot about different technologies from the process of constructing this product for example like Celtx, Final cut pro, video camera, camera, blog and etc. Whilst creating this product, I have gained a great understanding and developed my skills to produce a better product.

I have used various type of technologies for different tasks.

•Script writing > Celtx

•Editing > Final Cut Pro

• > Ipad final cut pro x iGuide

•Filming > Video camera (D6, L120 Nikon)

•Production Schedule etc > Computer > Blog

Script is the first thing we have to do before filming or anything else.

My partner and I have used this program called Celtx, which are a program for script writing in its format.

Celtx have helped us a lot by providing the basic template and very easy to use. It is a very handy tool to produce a professional script.

It can be edited anytime and be converted into a PDF document easily.

Therefore, we decided to use Nikon Coolpix L120 to film the rest of the scene. Since we wanted to present the wonderland feelings in a much better quality camera. Its outstanding colour and detail replication, impressive 21x zoom and strong image quality have successfully made a difference between wonderland and our real world. We have learned the techniques to

brings out the effects that we wanted.

My partner and I have used the Panasonic video camera, which is provided by the school to film one of the scene in the script. But the quality wasn’t as good as we expected.

EDITINGWhen it comes to editing, Alice and I are both new to an editing programs called Final Cut Pro, which is Mac based.

But we got help by looking through the Final Cut Pro X iGuide in the Ipad. We followed it’s detailed instructions and after we’re both familiar with it, we continually explore the things that it can do to make our opening sequence better. For example like, adding more than one soundtracks, add sound effect, title and colour grading. Most importantly to put all the scenes together to create an opening sequence.

After we found some suitable soundtracks, we converted it into MP3 using online tool then downloaded the songs legally, so it can be inserted into our opening sequence.

We also looked up some soundtracks on the internet through Safari, particularly from Youtube. It is a very useful website to search for any type of music.
