Evaluation Question 5

How did you attract/ address your audience?

Page 2: Evaluation question 5

I attracted the audience by having only one image on the page and her having direct address to the audience which engages them and allows them to find the magazine interesting. The hands in the pockets may attract the audience as is gives off connotations of being relaxed which makes the audience want to read it.I have also chosen to use bands and artists that would draw the audiences attention as they are good bands and artists that people would like and want to read about. Also to make them stand out I have created graphic features around all of them so the white writing stands out and can be read. The price of the magazine would attract the audience as when I did my questionnaire I made the price of the magazine(£2) fit the results as what they would pay for.I also used words such as exclusive to attract an audience as when they see it they will realise that you wont be able to get that anywhere else except in that magazine

The list of bands and artists I have chosen to have in the content page would attract an audience as they are all similar types of artist/bands which will go well for the people who like Indie/Rock.The images I have used would attract the audience as well because there is a mixture of the types of shots I have taken. Two from a concert one with direct address to the audience and the biggest image on the page in a mid shot with a slight low angle to add to the effect. The font is bold and easy to follow which will attract there attention as well.

My double page spread attracts the audience straight away by having a image that takes up a whole page with the members of the band using direct address which makes the audience feel more at ease. The colour attracts an audience as it is very subtle colours that don’t hurt your eyes when you look at them but make the article stand out that little bit more.
