What kind of Media institution might distribute your magazine and why?My magazines target audience is people that listen to metal/heavy music. The existed organisations that make these types of magazines are Kerrang!, Blunt, Terrorizer, Metal Hammer etc.The two organisations I want to focus on are Kerrang! And Blunt. This is a magazine by Blunt compared to my magazine.

They both share similarities. They have script/scratch like font, coverlines on the side, a puff of an album/CD in the left corner and a nice strapline as well as a barcode next to it. The masthead is also sharp, bold and bubble text that looks good. Finally, both the background images are of a male that fits the stereotype of Metal. I feel the blunt magazine audience would be attracted to my magazine and also think about buying it because my magazine shares lots of similarities with their design. It also incorporates the same type of information and articles that Blunt do including tour dates, sneak peeks and interviews etc.

Kerrang is another magazine corporation that I would like to compare my metal magazine to. They also do metal magazines, and my magazine and the Kerrang! Magazine share similarities. The layout of both magazines is similar, with a bar at the top and the title reading *Magazine Name* CONTENTS IN scratch/script-like font as well as being bold and sharp, following the metal imagery. The main image is also on the left, with small headings and titles on the right hand side, page numbers and an editors note underneath the image. The information and articles are similar too, which means that people that buy the Kerrang! Magazine would be interested in my magazine because it has a similar layout as well as similar articles including tour dates, new and upcoming bands, whats new, and the latest gossip.
