Transcript of Evaluation Question 3

1. What have you learnt from your audience feedback Question 3 2. Rough Cut Feedback We screened our trailer to our class and received feedback. Although our feedback was from two boys which is not our target audience, it did however give us another point of view (male perspective) Audio feedback 3. Wordle We also received verbal feedback after the first test screening, which using the key words that were used have created a Wordle providing us with an insight of the most commonly used improvements in which we need to improve upon. 4. Editing after the feedback After receiving feedback from the rough cut screening we improved our trailer appropriately A recurring criticism was the length of each shot in the montage, being too long and the overall length of the trailer. We therefore shortened the montage making each shot faster, by either cutting it or using the speed up tool. This shortened our trailer significantly from 0:00/1:27 00:56 From our research we felt this was more similar to the conventions of a teaser trailer. 5. Our feedback also mentioned making the comic scenes clearer, we did this by adding more cartoon elements, and adding more qwerty upbeat music during the montage to contrast against the slow music at the beginning of the trailer. Before After 6. Colour Editing We also edited the colour to make a clearer transition of her mood change, which we used by using colour corrector to create a dull setting in the establishing shot, creating pathetic fallacy. Before After 7. Test Screening We screened our rough cut to the class, for feedback, we got feed back through two different forms Firstly a Question air response sheet from two girls in our class, this was representative of our target audience. 8.
