What is a media institution?

A media institution is the people that, create distribute, advertise and promote the film.

What does a production company do?

A production company is what helps produce a media production and the final outcome of the film.

This involves the • Budgeting• Scripting • Casting• Scheduling

As well as this, it has the responsibility of finding a good director and majority of the actors

In addition, although they have full responsibility on making things work, they are also responsible for actions that go wrong during the process of producing the film. For example:

- When actors injure themselves - When property/equipment that is not licensed, breaks or gets

damaged. When actors decide to leave due to any reason

A production company is accountable for a number of important things that is needed to be kept under control in order for the film to be produced to its best standard.

Usually, when a film finishes, there is a specific way of how the credits are shown.

The order of this is: Director Writer Screen play/story Produced by Original Music by Cinematography Editing/Casting

There are a number of media institutions such as:

The previous institutions mentioned have distributed a number of films at high budget. However, I believe my film is more towards an institution such as Warner bro’s, as well as 20th century fox as a film like mine needs views from a wide audience of teens and adults which both institutions are good with developing, designing, advertising and promoting.

20th century fox would be good for a film like mine as it is a news cooperation company which is a conglomerate, and has different bases which can be used to promote the film in order to make sure it is out worldwide. Orphan
