Age- My magazine is targeted at the age group 15-22. The images I have collected are around that particular age group this is so that the audience can relate to them. Also the images I have collected all are related to the age. So in my magazine I made sure that the clothing of the band members was according to my genre and the clothing that my target audience would be interested in. I also use formal language so that the audiences who are at the target age group stay interested in as they use the same type of language. I also tried to use simple words so that the target age group would easily understand the point I'm trying to make across. This is so that the audience stay interested in my magazine.

Gender My music magazine is aimed at a mix of male and female

however a bit more to the male side. This is because the genre itself which is rap/hip hop is mostly male centred this means that more males will by my magazine. There is evidence for this as most of my images have males. This is because more readers can relate to them and see them as their idol. The info that I used for my contents page is also more male centred however it also has some content that is female cantered as well. This is because more females are getting into the genre making a new target gender as well. This means that my content will also have to be targeted at the females. This means that my magazine will have a huge target audience which will make my magazine have more buyers as it has a huge range.

Ethnicity My magazine has mostly white British background however in my

contents page I also introduce more ethnicities. For example In 1 of the images there is an African ethnic background subject. This makes it more readable for my target audience as it introduces a wider group.

Social classMy magazine is targeted at the working class and middle class. This is because of the clothing e.g. chains , hoodies and flap backs. This means that the clothing associated with the genre is not posh or classy as it would then attract the upper class.
