Combination of Main Product &

CD Case•I believe that the combination of my main product (Music Video) and CD case are effective as they both portray the same meaning.•Our artist’s song is about him being misunderstood and simply wanting people to understand him so for my front cover with the use of mis en scene , lighting and Photoshop I created a cover portraying a particularly strange looking character.

Dark background emphasises artist’s feeling of loneliness.

Lens flare creates distortion as it drags attention back and forth from artists profile.

Artist has been positioned to stare directly at audience to further emphasis stranger persona and to portray him as an enigma.

I feel that the combination of my advert and CD cover was slightly ineffective as I failed to use the same fonts, photo or even style as my CD cover, mainly due to the fact that I ran out of time as I was overwhelmed with the amount of editing I had to do and therefore had less time to focus on my ancillary texts. However the same theme is carried on throughout both texts as the artist is alone throughout and looks distorted.

The target audience for our product ranges from early teenagers to adults in their early twenties who are fans of the hip-hop/rap/grime music genre. Also as our artist is white we are able to target a white audience male/female and also a black audience as people are always interested to hear what a white rapper has to say as, E.G successful white rappers of recent times include Eminem who had the second highest hip hop record sales in the 21st century.
