WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM YOUR AUDIENCE FEEDBACK?

After showing our trailer to our chosen focus group (target audience) we have taken on board the feedback that we have gained.

We asked our focus group to watch our trailer and then fill out a feedback sheet honestly and supportively.

Here are a few examples of our audience feedback sheets:

Here is one of our feedback sheets for our trailer.

We were happy with this response and we can see that they thought the film and image where strong as well as the continuity and flow and our soundtrack and sound where excellent.

For future improvements we would look at out cuts and transitions to see what we could do to ensure they get into the strong/excellent grid as well as the concept and originality from all Participants.

We as a group are happy with this feedback sheet from participant A.

We are also pleased that they would see it both in the cinema and on DVD.

We as a group are also happy that participant A thinks that the trailer on the whole fits the conventions within the horror genre.

Here is another of our feedback sheets for our trailer.

We were really happy with this response and we can see that participant B thought the cuts and transitions, film and image, continuity and flow and concept and originality where strong!

We can also see that participant B thought our soundtrack and sound was excellent.

We were really happy with this as we know its one of the most important aspects within the horror genre.

We as a group like this comment from participant B as it refers to our brief ‘to use props, a conventional location and sound’.

We as a group also are pleased that participant B would not only see it in the cinema but would also buy it on DVD.

Here is another of our feedback sheets for our trailer.

We were really happy with this response and we can see that participant C has put the majority of categories in the strong section this means they where impressed.

Participant C has also put our sound and soundtrack in the excellent section.

Looking at the written feedback we can see that participant C thinks the angles we used in our varies shots portrayed the narrative well.

We as a group like this comment from participant C as it refers to our brief again by ‘considering the mise en scene, music and editing when producing a trailer for the horror genre.’

We as a group also are pleased that participant C would not only see it in the cinema but would also buy it on DVD.

We were really happy with this response and we can see that participant D has put the all of the categories in the excellent section. This means that they are very conventional to our target audience.

To get a response where the participant states that there isn't anything to change is brilliant!

We were really happy with this response and we can see that participant F has put the all of the categories in the excellent section. This means that they are very conventional to our target audience.

To get a response where the participant states that there isn't anything to change AGAIN is brilliant

We were really happy with this response and we can see that participant F has put originality and conventions of a magazine in the good and the strength of image and continuity and flow in the excellent.

This is the response we got after putting the trailer on Facebook we can see that the top person really liked the lens flare shot we did.

The second person also likes the shots we gave especially the shot at the end where we showed the perspective of the ‘hidden person’

This is the response we got after we put our billboard trailer on Facebook- they liked the simple font and how we have put the climax of the narrative in the main characters eyes. They also like the layout and said overall it looked like a professional finish.

This is the response we got after we put our theatrical trailer on Facebook- this person liked the contrasting sides and how we have put the climax of the narrative again in the main characters eyes. However they would recommend the rating was slightly bigger.
